Jessie has shown improvement under Dewey Cooper while Tim has experienced at least psychosomatic augmentation under Teddy Atlas. Both will be more confident and in the habit of bringing more consistent but controlled aggression than when they fought last June, especially if Bradley is coming off a go-ahead tiebreaker in his rivalry with Manny Pacquiao (set - ostensibly - to retire after the rubber match no matter the result). If he does end up officially 2-1 over Pacquiao, does Bradley get complacent? Or remain hungry and take umbrage at someone he defeated wearing his WBO title, which he never lost in the ring? :think
Timmeh's perpetually hungry. I don't see him beating Pac (unless Pac is completely shot). I'd like to see Bradley-Vargas II. I'd rather not see Pacquiao-Vargas if Pacquiao wins. I'd rather see Pacquiao-Crawford.
Vargas has always been underrated to me, but I still think he loses to Bradley in a rematch. One thing about Bradley, he's not the type of fighter who gets complacent. He's never going to take any shortcuts when preparing for a fight.
If Vargas really runs it back with BATB he's in for a whole world of hurt. Remember fight one that Bradley won 8-4? It'd be like that with more body shots and a possible KO. Also in fight one by round 5 Vargas's jab was stuck to him and he was too complacent to throw for basically the next 4 rounds. If he tries that 'aggressive' shyt with Tim he's gonna get his punches sidestepped and ripped to the body 2-3 times. The 1-2's BATB was landing the first time will be straighter with more snap on them. I prayyyyyyy to Bob Arum that Vargas and Bradley run this back.
Say friend, you've been on this board since 2006, I reckon you've been watching boxing for a while. Has ONE shot ever stopped Tim? Has tim ever been stopped?
Tim beat a half dead Rios, and Jessie beat a glass jawed hypejob and now they both think they're killing machines. That being said I give Vargas the edge in a rematch.
