Apparently if Margarito wins Arum is going to demand 60-40.

Martinez still doesn't have a lot of head movement, and, given the trouble he had against Barker who was pretty static and threw efficiently, I think Margarito would still be capable of causing him major problems.

They already negotiated the fight. Martinez didn't want to do it by how Cotto and TR wanted it, and that was that. Cotto is the draw, deserved most of the money, Martinez declined the fight because he wants it on his terms, when he has no leverage. Amazing how you idiots try to twist ****. Martinez is the one in reality being the ***** calling out guys from divisions below him like a desperate fool.

Right and the demand from Top Rank (yeah I know Arum tried to make it sound like "no co-promotion" came from Cotto but I'm calling bull**** on that) was one that signaled they did not want the fight. The company had no problem co-promoting for Pavlik-Martinez just that year, yet suddenly Martinez needs to be paid a flat fee? Also don't forget that immediately after that negotiation, Arum came to an agreement with Lewkowicz that they'd fight this year. That never transpired, much like the PPV Arum was also excited to do for Chavez-Martinez.
