very true! Arum always spins it after the fighters leave him-Arum will begin to bash Cotto and he won't do it straight up with em...Cotto is a liked fighter, so Arum will do it kinda sneaky-put out insults that aren't "direct" but rather "indirect"

Well, not really. Arum stands to make money no matter what happens on May 5. If Cotto wins, he can promote a Pacquiao rematch that would suddenly be the biggest fight in boxing. If Cotto loses, he can bring Cotto back as a big name, apparently low risk opponent to give Chavez Jr. later. He seems intent on giving Chavez as many damaged/small opponents as he can, which has been proven by the fact Margarito gets Chavez after the Rubio fight. Regardless of whether Cotto wins or loses, Arum has something to gain from staying on good terms with Cotto. I don't think we see a smear campaign. Cotto is a cash cow now, and Arum would be unwise to potentially lose him for good.
