Why all the crying at 147! Pac is the star here, if Marquez wants to fight him he has to fight the champ at his weight.

 

I don't like the fight being at welterweight that starts to diminish JMM's chances. If Pac is going to stay at welterweight I'd rather see him face the winner of Bradley-Khan at that weight. JMM has the style and knowledge to beat Pac but he's on the decline and Pac's at his peak and anything above lightweight further hurts his chances. Pac-JMM at 140 is a good fight but every pound over that the odds against JMM get bigger.

Lets do this again. JMM was fit and in shape in his last fight at 135. He cut 10 pounds and got into the ring on fight night at 145. If the fight is at 140 he will get into the ring in shape and fit at around 145. Pac's last fight at 150 he came into the ring on fight night at 148. If they fight at 147 he will come in at 148. If they fight at 140 he will come into the fight in shape at 148. Point being JMM and Pac in shape are almost exactly the same size. The contracted weight makes no difference at all. Manny has just been fighting much bigger guys than JMM has.
