If they get paid enough yes. The thing is though, it doesnt make sense financially from a promoters POV.

If Pac-PBF is expected to do 3mil buys, at most 1mil out of those 3mil will be hardcore fans. Now if you were to do Margo-Cotto...it will be 90% hardcore fans buying that fight doijng about 400k buys. Now Wether a fight like Margo-Cotto is on the undercard or not, the PBF-Pac will STILL do 3mil buys, because 2mil casual fans wouldnt buy margo-cotto anyways and those hardcore fans that would have paid for Margo-Cotto would already pay for PBF-Pac anyhow.

So it be better to do Pac-PBF, Margo-Cotto in 2 separate events, that way they get 3mil to buy pbf-pac, then the hardcore fans would shell out again for margo-cotto, making total buys for both events 3.4mil or thereabouts.

Why do they need exposure? It's not like a prospect coming through or a guy who's just arrived at world-level needing to boost their name. The likes of Mosley, Cotto, Pavlik - these guys are world-class names already. They don't need exposure. They could go and headline a PPV card a few weeks later and get paid a lot more. Of course I'd love to see a stacked card with names like that, but realistically it's not going to happen because it's not beneficial to the fighters themselves compared to other options.

Exactly. People are going to buy Pac v Mayweather regardless of whether it has a Mosley or a Cotto on the undercard. Adding those names won't generate much extra buys. So they could headline a PPV card a little while later and make that extra money.

And from a fighter's prospective, they can get a big cut of the PPV sales. In regards to fighting on an undercard, they probably don't get a cut of those sales at all, just a guarantee. And how much do people think these guys are going to get considering one they aren't the main event, and two Pac and Mayweather would be getting an overwhelming majority of the PPV sales, and clearing out the promotor's wallet between them.

Of course. Every fighter should jump all over this opportunity to fight on the undercard. What a way to get an exposure.

Would somebody like to tell me why the likes of Mosley and Cotto need exposure?
