As a boxer. What location would you avoid at all costs for a big fight?

I chose Germany but if I was a boxer, I'd fight pretty much anywhere.

    Germany and England

Lmao hattons prime is defined by the Tszyu fight which is probably the most ref assisted fight ive ever seen, people then actually have the nerve to talk about cortez in the mayweather match.

YOUR SUPPOSED TO BREAK CLINCHES WHEN THE GUYS NOT FIGHTING ON THE INSIDE.

Matters how good I was. If I was as dominant as a Hagler or punched like a Hearns or Mugabi, I would think fighting anywhere would be fine since the fight would probably not go the distance. If I was not sure of my skills I would try and fight in my hometown.

Someone mentioned it earlier, but there are sooo many big fights in the US, some are bound to get shanked. The track record is fine, with the unfortunate exception of Texas. And bringing up ancient history in terms of fights as examples constitutes a reach and sounds more than a little self serving.

Martinez vs Cintron was a joke. Martinez is one of my favorite fighters and I hope he gets his due.

For sure, there were some close decisions in Germany in the last few years, which were controversally discussed and could have gone the other way.

    You can mention Abraham-Miranda, Holyfield-Valuev, or Sturm-Gevor.

Ottke was, for some time of his career, the only German world champion, and therefore he was, if necessary, protected by his promotors.
The result was, among others, the embarrasing Ottke-Reid decision.
But, I think, the times of Ottke has gone and the situation in German boxing has changed.
Today there are a lot more German and German based fighters and prospects, which attract attention in the whole boxing world. Boxing has become a prospering business in Germany with more big, internationally noticed events.
That does not implie, that you will always get a fair decision in Germany, but it makes it quite likely, that you won`t be cheated at the bigger events, let`s say, not more, than anywhere else.
The German spectators at the fights are, in general no boxing experts or hardcore fans, and maybe therefore quite calm, fair and unbiased.
Dubious decisions get whistled and booed.
The foreign fighters usually emphasize, that they get well treated in Germany.
So, if somebody has got a problem with boxing decisions in Germany, it should not be the people.

If your studies and clues are true, then you prove that Sauerland at least doesn`t buy the judges. If he did, he had not to look at their scores.

  10. what utter bull**** every country in the world is guilty of something and have all been seen and known to commit the same offences as each other. they get away with it because nobody governs boxing they govern them selves and while this go's on nothing will ever change

Japan. Non-Japanese fighters often get the short end of the stick on decisions.

To be honest, after thinking a bit, everywhere is probably as bad as the other. If you watch shows like Friday Night Fights or the domestic boxing on Sky Sports over here in the UK well you see some real shockers. Hometown decisions happen all the time. And I'm talking literal hometown decisions. Like when a guy from some town in Ohio or a guy from Leeds fight in a leisure centre and win a dodgy decision. Christ, sometimes in the UK we don't even need judges. The ****ing ref just raises the guys hand after the bout.

I think it might well be more about status and worth than it is about where the person is from. There are journeymen out there that must know for a fact they're going to get screwed over and only take the fight for the money.

I think some people are forgetting the bul**** Doug Beavers exposed as the ratings chairman for the IBF when they were investigated by the FBI.. Mister Fuzzy wuzzy and his christmas cheese and all that... The sad ******* exposed the whole bul**** by wearing a wire and taping the comittee meetings , so he could avoid any comeback or prison.. Axel Shultz will never forgive what happened in his bout with George, and Will Guthrie showed hiw you cant rely on Mister (I am all for the black cause , King..) USA , however is very tame as is the UK in comparrison to Germany if you are boxing a Sauerland fighter in his own back yard.. unless they have an immediate investment in you , you may as well just bend over and get raped............... Italy used to be poor too, Benn v Galvano is one i remember too well.....
