As a Devon Alexander fan I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I will admit I thought Alexander was gonna win the fight. I admit it was a close fight and the decision could have went either way. Alexander, was head butted 6 times in the fight. In Tim Bradley last 5 fights there have been clash of heads so I will not fault Alexander 100% for the fight being stopped. The power punches and activity were about even. Alexander, probably was not on his fight game like he should have mostly because he received allot of head butts during this fight and was timid at times. I like Tim Bradley but his head has been a good weapon in his recent fight ala Nate Campbell. Alexander, will be back, count on it. A rematch a couple fights down the road will be justified if both Tim and Devon win their next bouts.

I'm a Devon fan. But i thought Bradley was winning the fight by 2 more rounds before the clash of heads. It was weird the way the fight was stop because the headbutt was not from the previous cut that happen earlier. But i guess the sweat went to Alexander eyes from the butt in which is why he said the eyes was burning him. I knew alot of people here will say Devon is a quitter. I don't see why he will quit if the fight was real close. And Bradley didn't even hurt Devon at all imo. Maybe in the 3rd round with 1 shot but besides that, nothing. Congrats to Bradley. But Bradley better work more on his defense cause if he fights like that vs Khan, he might actually lose. But Bradley better stay away from Pacquiao or Mayweather cause he will get a beating or embarrass badly.

Bradley did execute a great plan, the head butts also helped his gameplan to **** with Devons plans.

I think it was all calculated and a strategy on Bradleys part it worked, but it was a boring fight, I wanted a war... not 1-2 hug 1-2 hug like come on? This dude is not gonna be big, he is gonna hover on the side lines as a champions with not much fans, he is not like a mayweather, and will never be. He is just to boring.

I agree with you for the most part. But, to keep it real if I have to worry about a headbutt from Tim big head ( no offense) for most of the fight then I don't BLAME Alexander for not fighting his normal fight. But, no excuses that's the way it went down.

I won't fault Bradley alone for those butts. Alexander seemed to be the one initiating the holds, and with a southpaw vs an orthodox fighter, the odds increase.

I'm not one to generally follow the knee jerk reactionaries, but I think if Alexander wanted to continue in the fight, he would have said something to the effect. The doc even told him he would have to stop the fight if he didn't open his eyes. He didn't ask for a few minutes, he didn't try to talk his way into staying in the fight at all, despite being given opportunities to do so by the doctor.

they both did not throw the amount of punches they usually do, especially bradley . i haven't seen the compubox stats because i watched it on sky sports in england and they don't show them like HBO do.

In the spur of the moment when you get poked or head butted in a fight or an athletic contest and sweats get in your eye as well it can burn. If Alexander wanted to quit he could have did it in the 3rd round when received his cut.

I do have a soft spot for Counter punchers..

JMM, Mayweather, all those great counter punchers not just people with good game plans... that include limiting the action by clinching.

    that **** bore's me....:verysad

Sorry if I don't fit into the Hardcore fan that has to like all fighters and styles.

I'm not saying it didn't burn. And it may have very well have impaired his vision. But he did not in any way seem to want to continue the fight. He could have told the doc when asked for the 3rd or so time to open his eyes, that he just needed a minute or so. I am sure the HB stunned him, he was obviously hurt by it. I just think he used it to justify his way out of the fight, and was too willing to go along with the docs recommendation.
