6/10, his running/movement and lack of courage to finish his opponent shadows his superior combinations and counterpunching

Just interested if you also have Lara a 10? He's never lost on my card and is certainly a wonderful technician.

8 or 9, if he stood in the pocket more I would give him a 10. I didn't like Floyd's performance in Maidana II that much just to put things into perspective.

I don't like Peterson, Danny is one of my favorites, and I rated Peterson's performance very highly as well. I enjoy boxers.

Very fair assessment. Floyd is certainly much better than Lara in the pocket. I thought Lamont looked terrific against Danny and I had him winning quite widely. I enjoy boxers as well but I also can't help enjoying someone who can break the body down. Especially someone like Provo who doesn't seem to care if he wins or loses as long as he gets to hit things hard.

    Such a great comparison.

And to answer the OP: I'll give Floyd a solid 7 or 8. As with any fighter, he has had his share of dull fights. But overall, I find him very skillful and entertaining. Floyd's "play it smart" mentality, does take away from the enjoyment factor. But I completely understand why he does it. "Just win baby." It takes a degree of mental discipline and self control to not "play into the crowd" which should be respected however.

To me, a 10 is Roberto Duran. The guy was a Tasmanian Devil, and could move his head and pick off shots coming in. Very good defensively, great boxer, and honestly I don't think anybody measures up to Duran in regard to "pure entertainment." The guy was just fun to watch, period.

if he would ever fight prime top rated fighters I can see Floyd fights being interesting. BUt teh fact that he continuosly fights C, B, and past prime fighters, he is pretty damn boring. Anyone can look like Whitaker against low level fighters.
