As a GGG fan I think his offer to Ward for a 164 catchweight is ridiculous

Before people start crying saying WARD DRAINED DAWSON, Dawson was the one who called Ward out and said he's willing to fight at 168. Just like Kovalev shouldn't go down in a catchweight against Ward since he'd be drained, Ward shouldn't do this either. He's too big for 164, the guy just fought at 172 ffs, GGG is clearly trying to take advantage. I'm pretty sure GGG was willing to fight Froch at 168, and not a catchweight, so why not Ward? If he feels like he's not ready for 168, he should take a couple of tune-ups, and get accustomed to the weightclass. As a GGG fan I'd love to see him take on the guys at 168. Quillin is terrified of GGG, Lemieux would get sparked out by GGG though it's an interesting fight, and we all know Cotto will never grow the ***** to fight him. If he wants to stay there, he has every right to, but as a boxing fan I'd love to see him fight against the comp at 168, and I'm sure most would too.

Eh, he's not fighting above 160 until he sees if he can get a fight with maybe Canelo (if he beats Cotto). He's not going to risk getting exposed by someone like Ward and losing big money in the future. This is why his team offered 164. They know Ward would and could never agree to that.

Golovkin is Cotto's mandatory at 160, Cotto is paying Golovkin step aside money to keep from fighting Golovkin. However, now Golovkin is the mandatory for the winner of the Cotto/Alvarez fight. I expect Cotto will give up the title rather than fight Golovkin and so will Alvarez. I expect Alvarez to beat Cotto, Golovkin will knock either one out...............Golovkin has better money fights at 160, if he keeps fighting, he will win the WBC title also..................he will start to force the cowards to fight him.................Ward will not go up 3 lbs. to fight Kovalev, and Ward refused to fight Stevenson at 175 or even at 168, so what's Ward's excuse?

good point. I honestly don't see Canelo or Cotto fighting GGG, Maybe Canelo in a couple of years. It's a shame because GGG against Abraham, Degale, Froch, Ward are all fights most of us want to see. His first fight should be against Groves, let him shatter that glass yet again.

I think if Canelo beats Cotto we might see it within a year. Canelo would want the fight sooner than later but I guess Oscar will try to put it off as long as he can.

Remember, Stevenson called Ward out live on HBO, said he would come down to 168 to fight him, but Ward refused to even answer him....................Ward could go up 3 lbs and fight Kovalev at 175.............Ward will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges and boxing commission, there is a reason for such...............Ward was the "ONLY" one who did not to travel in his boxing tournament, eveyone else had to travel long distances, across the ocean.................

Stevenson needs to fight Kovalev. Ward will defeat either one of them when he is ready to move up. No sense for him to fight at 175 in case Triple G decides to fight him at 168 anytime soon...
