Actually they are quite prepared to fight Ward AT 168.

But they Will NOT TAKE 50/50, and they Will demand 180lbs when ward arrives.
They will also demand VADA, and the largest possible venue for the fight.
164 is 50/50, and 180 rehydration clause and testing.
166 is 55/45 plus clause and testing.
168 is 60/40 plus clause and testing.
$8mil guarantee by Roc gets everything Wards way.

Canelo vs Lee is all but signed if they both win their fights.

Lemieux will fight Johnson, then Rosado, then Canelo vs Lee winner.
BJS will fight the winner of Jacobs EUBANK, and the circle duck will continue.

 

Yup .....Legend vs GGG @ 168. K2 trying to get WBO and WBA on board to make it an eliminator.

Then, GGG can go after Abe stieglitz winner or Zurdo.

Also putting himself directly into line for Chudinov Sturm winner.
Which gives him a unification, elevating himself to super champion WBA, and giving him bargaining power over ward at full 168.

WBA prepared to strip ward if he doesn't fight top 10 WBA SMW next.

 

Golovkin doesn't want to go up in weight and fight a light heavyweight. The fight IMO should be at 168, but that's still a big jump for an average sized middleweight.

Ward is a lot bigger than GGG.

 

Also why Golovkin says 164 has a lot do with he's not interested in the super middleweight belts.

He has no interest being a super middleweight because he doesn't the frame to fight there.

He just wants to fight a big name and unify the middleweight division.

 

There are multiple ways to get the fight done.

But.....
It won't be at 168 unless the money is RIGHT.

Ward and Roc can have it ther way, but it'll cost em.

However... If they're willing to concede on testing and rehydration of 180, k2 has HBO blessing and will give the fighters in excess of 10 million to split.
Ward can make a career payday just from the HBO $$$, but he'll have to concede on the split for HBO and K2 to risk giving up a HUGE SIZE AND EXPERIENCE ADVANTAGE AND POTENTIALLY RUINING MEGA FIGHTS @ 160.

 

They will if GGGs holding the SUPER, which he could by beating BHOP, then the Zurdo Stieglitz Abe winner and then regular champ, Chudinov Sturm.

At that point, GGG will have surpassed the S6 achievements of ward, and HBO PPV will be inevitable
