As a GGG fan I think his offer to Ward for a 164 catchweight is ridiculous

The Triple Duck still hasn't had a big fight. It would be funny if it weren't so SAD.

    Nothing sad about it.

Actually no, he isn't. Either you consider Alvarez the champ @ MW or the title is vacant.

    :risas3::risas3::risas3:

El Pollo has never fought at middleweight and gave his belt up like a puta when Golovkin told him to hand it over.

You obviously haven't been keeping up with affairs lately.

    Caneloweight is not 160. It's 155.

    Didn't you know?

Luckily a true 160 fighter went and confiscated his belt and chased him back to the kiddies at 154. :)

164 at 50/50. Basically saying that Ward needed to take the short money if he wanted to pull him up to the full 168.

Neither party needed to take what they perceived as the short end of the stick, so the fight didn't happen.

Ward got Kovalev and Roc to meet his demands and made great money, GGG keeps making nice multi-million dollar paydays himself at 160. Business wise, it's impossible to argue either of them were wrong to put the fight off regardless of what fans think.

Ward did drain Dawson. That doesn't make Golovkin's silly offer of fighting Ward at 164 any less ridiculous.

This clown is as much of a GGG fan as shockmaster is a Kovalev fan.

I feel that this is a realistic understanding of the situation. I've always felt that their combined star power isn't enough to get them the payday they deserve for fighting each other.

A 168 fighter and a 160 fighter meeting in the middle for 50/50 seems pretty legit to me.

160 fighter wouldn't meet in the middle for 147 pounder

160 fighter would meet in the middle for 154 pounder

160 fighter wanted to meet retired Froch at the full 168 pounder.

And all of those are different situations than this one.

A champion at 160 meeting the champ at 168 for a 50/50 fight at 164 is legit

    UNLESS:
All of the 168 titles were to be on the line. Then I would agree it needs to be at the full 168, no more CW nonsense
