Waldo punches hard. He just didn't take too many chances against Sam because unlike McCline, Waldo can't take those right hands consistently. Waldo might have hurt and finished Sam if he was the same guy who destroyed Monte. Of course, he may also have been knocked out trying to fight that fight.

 

Yeah the one thing that keeps me confident even if Sam is dropped early is that he already proved he can get back up and continue fighting and that means more danger for Vitali who I am fully expecting to tire out as early as the 5th round.

Even if he does land the miracle punch Sam will get back up and get on that jab. Vitlay tired even in his prime. No doubt he will tire now, being off 4 years and dealing with injuries. You gotta know he isn't pushing it hard in training camp.

 

Since Peter could not KO Wlad or even McCline there is no way he is going to stop Vitali. The best fighter Peter has stopped is Maskaev. that speaks volumes about his supposed power.

 

And who were the 1st 2 to put Vitali on the "overrated block"?? Being that the guy has never been down on the cards, how can any fighter do that without actually be winning the fight?????? Maybe "overrated" means injury prone atsch

I'm thinking Vitali is expecting an early KO, don't know what plans he will have if that doesn't work out and I don't think there is any plan. Looks to me that Vitali is just trying his luck.

 

Peter's jab will be a non factor in this fight just like his punch to the back of the head. Peter did not land the jab on Wlad and he won't land it on Vitali. Am I missing something or is Sam Peter the new Larry Holmes or something? :huh :rofl

 

Maybe overrated means despite being so highly ranked he's never having actually won a meaningful fight.

 

Vitali comes into every fight with 3 strategy plans he has said so in many post fight interviews. Peter has had no plan B in any fight he has been in.

 

Waldo punched and grabbed throughout 12 rounds. Anytime Waldo gave Sam Peter punching room he got floored. In rounds 3, 5 and 10 Waldo gave Sam punching room and got knocked silly.

Vitlay, if he doesn't hold on 96 times over 12, will be eating flush right hands and jabs. You watch.

 

Peter does not have the skill set to land jabs and his punches are too looping.

 

He seemed to be finding McCline, Long, Diaz and others pretty easily. And none of those guys are little.

You seriously underrate Sam's jab. I am really not surprised by that though.

 

Who has Sam beaten that's so outstanding? Washed up 37 year olds?

 

That's the point right here, how will he be able to apply three strategy plans if his body will fail him?, we're all guessing here that after a 4 year lay-off it won't be a walk in the park for Vitali, especially when the lay-off was caused by serious career threatening back and knee injuries.

 

It's not like Vitali beats him in that department, as far as I know he struggled against a shot version of Lewis then beat Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams before being forced to retire. He's not way better there.
