I'm not a hardcore fan, but I am a fan of Margarito's. I hope he makes a fight soon. The guy has been waiting to be the man. Now that he is he seems to not know how to act like the man.

    I don't consider myself a hardcore . . . I like Margo just like I like Cotto and Mosley.

. . . as to the situation . . . it's not as bad as people think it is . . . fighters makes career plans . . . if he fights Williams and Clottey later on then the delay is justifiable . . . if not . . . then **** him!

Who will he fight then after Cotto? :D

Not an ounce of respect lost for Margarito. His career of taking on the toughest of comers speaks for itself. There are much bigger and more formidable fish to fry in 2009 than Mosley, such as De La Hoya and Mayweather and Cotto.

Mosley was a very very long shot at best anyway. We know that.

I could really care less. I just would've liked to see him in action sooner, but he does get a pass for two physical entertaining fights with Cintron and Cotto. I like Mosley for a good scrap, but I do think he is obviously past his best and a longshot to win. If Margo can secure a fight with DLH then it would be a wise business decision, and if he gets a match with Williams or Clottey then it would be a good legacy builder.

I like Margarito. I don't understand what everyone is making a big fuss about. The guy only fights like twice a year. If he already has a fight scheduled with Cotto in the spring, it doesn't seem unreasonable that he'll fight again in the late summer/early fall, most likely against Paul Williams unless DLH or Mayweather are game, and assuming he wins the rematch with Cotto. Would I have like to have seen him fight Mosely in the meantime? Sure. Does it bother me that I won't? Not really. If I were him though, I'd fight a tune-up in between one of those fights to stay busy. Margarito does tend to get a little rusty after long layoffs. Maybe Kolle is available?

I want to see him fight now. But hey, I wasn't the one who took a lot of punishment in the past year. He's been active prior and fighting basically ALL the top guys in his division. Whoelse can say that?

Anyone else in this situation probably wouldn't get as much ****. But this site is full of vindictive and angry little boys. I expect the backlash.

It's quite simple. He chose not to fight Williams when Williams begged for it. That was all the *ahem* Mayweather fans needed.
