Margo is widely considered the man of the division, and if he's waiting on a Cotto rematch which is expected he's holding the division hostage. By declining a quaddruple career high payday, and now a double career payday, what is he doing? Instead of fighting even a low top ten contender he's going to just wait and do nothing? I guess it's fair that now he's the champion, it's okay for him to do such things because he's Margo, hes earned it. :rofl

Fighting 2 times a year is the norm nowadyas. Mayweather did that, then once a year. You weren't bitching about any "holding hostage" **** then. And Margarito has STILL fought basically every top WW there is. No other WW can even say that and you know it.

Edit - I wanted Mayweather to fight more than twice a year and I dont have a problem with Margo taking time off but it will be almost a year by the time he rematches Cotto who he made quit. He is clearly going for low risk high reward by WAITING for a rematch with him. If he would of taken Mosley fight I wouldn't of had a problem with it. And its decent risk high reward but he passed to wait for the low.

I agree....even though Margie has Rocks for a brain....they got rattled

I really believe Margie needed more time off than he initially thought....
he won....but it took its toll on him.

The rematch will be very interesting.

Well, I am pretty dissapointed. I was looking forward to the Clottey rematch, and that got canceled. Now the Mosley fight. I understand if needs more time off, but for him to have 2 fights pretty much done and then not go through sucks. I'm not gonna lie, I got bothered when people were talking **** on the thread about him canceling the Mosley fight. I am no hardcore Marg fan, just a hardcore fan of Mexican boxers. Don't get me wrong, I like all boxers and know that the Mexican will not always win...but I always root for them.

 

Does anyone have any verifiable evidence about this? I heard that he wasn't in great condition after the fight. He took a lot of shots from a guy that KTFOing most of his opponents previous.

 

I'm a Margarito fan, and I have no issues about the current situation. I wish he had fought Williams again, but the Mosley fight wouldn't have been to great considering how shot Shane is. The time will come, and there's nothing else to say really.

 

Like I said in the other thread. Fight someone already Margarito.

Im a hardcore Margarito fan but im not sure what he is up to. Especially since he is known from not backing down from a challenge. (Although I dont think Shane has much of a chance at beating him nowadays). But yeah this **** has me concerned

 

I do know that Floyd fans couldnt wait for something like this to happen though
