As A "HARDCORE" Margarito Fan How Do You Feel About The Current Situation

You know what im sayin. They couldnt wait for Margo to do something like this. Its helps them remove the stain of Floyd duckin margarito :deal

 

Floyd fans hate Margarito and were waiting for this moment to pull the thing on Margarito but it ain't quite the same cuz Floyd has a 10+ people ducking list,plus he ain't a limited brawler ain't he?And really Margarito just did this to **** with Oscar

 

Sure,sure they do.That's why you,Scar,Pimp C,eze etc and all therest of the ''boxing fans'' came out of the cave when this happened.Hell,all that was missing was Ellerbe starting his own threads.

 

If he fights Collazo or Clottey or somebody like that I'm happy.But yeah it wasn't a good move with Mosley but neither is Andy Kolle so stop bitching about it.

 

Williams already declined Clottey himself and correct me if I'm wrong....Margarito already beat Clottey:deal

 

My concern for Margarito is lack of activity. I also don't see the point in making such a big deal about the money against Mosley, especially if he is getting 2 mil, or for any fighter at this point for that matter, when he is still not a household name outside of hardcore boxing. Until he wipes out the division, which he has yet to do, i suggest he keeps working hard, beating guys, and the money will come (as some already did against Cotto). He got where he is today not by dismissing fights for x or y reason, but because of hard work, dedication, and willingness to take on the toughest challenges. Because of this, he has obtained a large support not only from the Mexican community, but many others from the hardcore boxing base. By becoming more business conscious and possibly preventing some of the fights that fans want to see (or not fighting at all), he may loose some of his stock among his fan base. The problem is, he has not yet acquired that commercial success like some other fighters who have previously decided to call their shots (i.e. Roy Jones, De La Hoya, etc). Until then, I would hope he keeps doing what he did best, and that is fight.

One last note, I know it is a lot easier to criticize a fighter for not fighting or being content with a certain offer (i.e 2 mil). There has to be some consideration for Margarito, and respect, in that he has to do what is best for him. Only he knows what he plans on doing in boxing and must protect his future and interest, such as setting an appropriate value for what he thinks he and his team is worth for current and future fights.
