    I'd be interested to see the 'Superbowl' numbers compared to the 'World Cup' numbers...I can't imagine the superbowl doing more than the world cup...

    They would have struggled to dominate during the 70's - a top tenner like Ernie Shavers would have buried Wlad, as would ken Norton , Vitali would have suffered a one sided beat down to the Ali of 66 to 75.

    Last superbowl 163 million wievers. 111million of those were american

    Fifa World Cup final: 715+ million wievers (the entire WC had 23 billion wiews)

    shows the difference between a hyped up national championship and a world sporting event.

    In fact, this year the UEFA Champions League final had more viewers than the Superbowl IIRC.

    Noone gives a **** about american football outside of the USA.

    Boxing, Tennis, Golf, Athletics....

    any sport played outside the USA is in decline. I watched Bolt in the last olympics and I realized he is not even close to Carl Lewis, it is just the watchmakers that are in decline.
