As an Abraham fan, I'm worried about the Taylor fight....

exactly. AA doesn't have the style to keep solid pressure on taylor and gas him with workrate. the only guys taylor has lost to are guys who apply tons of pressure and throw a high volume of punches. AA does neither of those things. In fact, he's the opposite. If i were rooting for AA in this fight, i would be worried too.

AA in all of his fights uses pressure. JT isn't going to be able to hit AA anyway. AA doesn't have to gas JT. That is simple thinking. All AA has to do is fight his fight, and JT will crumble. JT has not come close to tasting power from a guy like AA. AA has a jab, defense, and body punching, and ifhe has to walk forward to beat JT, he will. AA ain't Duran when it comes to pressure, but he can pressure his opponent don't get it twisted lol... AA can box and punch, and fight on the inside, and JT can't. That is why JT lost...he couldn't fight inside. JT won't floor AA like he did Froch and Pav.

AA's inactivty will mean JT pushing the action, being busy, high work-rate etc. But AA's defence is excellent, so while JT is going to be throwing a lot, he won't be landing all that much - THIS is why JT may well gas. Nothing to do with AA "not having the style".

Stephen Hawking once beat Arthur Abraham in a dance off.

    True story.

JT is the clear favorite, end of story.

BUT: JT may very well tire from AA's hard punches and they will hurt JT, make no mistake. At the same time an awful lot of his punches will only find AA's turtle shell and they will tire JT as well. If JT doesn't fight clever, he isn't going to survive the 12 rounds.

Sorry Finn, but I do not believe you can make JT the favorite in a fight with a banger where JT has to "fight clever" for 12 rounds. Recent evidence suggests he no longer has the ability to do that. In the 2nd fight with Pavlik and in the Froch fight he got into way to many heavy exchanges LATE in the fight, and those exchanges took the wind out of his sails.

You know me bro. JT is one of my favorites, and I am the #1 AA hater on ESB. However, the fact remains that Arthur is tough, he's patient, and he hits like a mac truck. Taylor appears to be on the slide. Think about it! He went from back to back wins over BHop all the way down to losing a fight to Carl The Clumsy:patsch

I'm afraid the Jermain Taylor of a few years ago is just a fond memory. Don't be surprised if AA proves that.

    Hey Boo,

    How are you doing?

Of course I know that you're the No.1 hater of AA. I'm on the other hand one of his biggest fans, but I try to have a realistic view of his chances against different styles, different opponents. In my opinion AA can only win if JT is plain stupid and didn't learn his lessons. If Pavlik would be his next opponent I would be much more optimistic ;)

Anyways, it's nice to see that even the No.1 AA hater here on ESB thinks that he has his qualities and isn't going to get steamrolled.

There was a typo in that post. It said "I do believe you can make Taylor the favorite." It should have said "do not believe." I think AA has to be the logical favorite. I don't see how any fighter around the weight could do 19 rounds with Pavlik, nearly 12 full rounds with froch, get knocked out by both, and not leave something of himself in the ring.
