As an Abraham fan, I'm worried about the Taylor fight....

Taylor would be fast in the early going but won't be able to do that for the whole 12 rounds. :D

If I were an Abraham fan, I would be most worried about his sloppy punching technique. JT is a very good counterpuncher, and Abraham's offense is extremely sloppy.

My second concern would be how hard Sauerland worked at keeping anyone over 6 foot completely away from Abraham. After the Ikeke fight AA never faced a tall fighter again until he fought #43 ranked LuJaun Simon. Go watch Simon work arthur's ass over with jabs, and then think about the fact that JT has the same height and reach, and 10 times the jab.

My 3rd concern would be speed. Jermain has some of the fastest hands around the weight. Abraham is about as fast as ---- well ---- Carl Froch.

My 4th concern would be Arthur's lack of big fight experience. While Sauerland was ducking legit opponents, and setting AA up with Mahir Oral, LuJaun Simon, Shannon Taylor, Wayne Elcock, et, Jermian Taylor was fighting world champons, all time greats, and hall of fame level fighters.

I'm a fan of both, this will be dangerous for both guys. Still, I expect Abraham to stop Taylor in this one unless Taylor is able to outbox him for 12 rounds without running out of gas. Unlike Froch, Abraham carries SERIOUS power all the way to the 12th, an extremely exhausted Froch was able to stop Taylor late due to exhaustion, that should explain it.

Abraham wins this by KO. Whoever wins I'll be sad and hope if Taylor loses it's not by KO again.

I'll make my analogy short . . . if Abraham survives the first 6 rounds . . . he'll beat Taylor by points or stoppage.

Taylor will run out of gas after winning early rounds with his activity.
Abraham will take control in middle rounds and KO Taylor in eight.

So there is no reason to be worried.

    King Arthur will prevail.

Dirrell is much taller I believe. He has the straighter and quicker punches, and from the southpaw stance. He would have to use a lot of foot movement against Abraham, which I don't know if he's savvy enough to do. He'd basically have to make it a boring fight and keep Abraham at long range. He'd probably shut Abraham out in an amateur fight. Too bad these are 12 round fights. I think Abraham would kill Dirrell to the body. But I'm sure fighting Froch will make Dirrell a smarter fighter, one would hope. So many unknowns.

agree in part...dirrell hasnt shown that hes got the pop to stay out of range, his footwork wont be enough in my opinion, if Froch doesnt get to him (which I think he will), he'll def hurt him at some point...i think AA will finish him cos hes got better defense than Froch so he can rely on getting free shots, he'll have to stay in range to land anything of note.

Taylor's style is not tailor made for AA. Thats for sure!
Dirrel would have suited AA better in the opening fight.

Taylor's the best draw Abraham could have hoped for.

    I disagree,david!

AA has always had trouble when facing a mobile mover(Gainer,Ayala).Taylor plays in a different league.
AA can be outboxed, and Taylor has the necessary skills and the speed to do it.
Cant really see Dirrel win a point decision against AA.
Froch would be tailor made the German based Armenian banger.

Taylor is NOT a mobile mover, hardly. He doesn't circle, he doesn't go side to side. He goes back and forth. PERFECT for Abraham. Taylor is by no means the quickest in the tournament, and may have just a slight edge in speed over Abraham, along with that power jab. I just don't see Taylor having the power nor ability to keep it up for very long at all. Taylor is a shot fighter. Abraham is in his prime and his power will walk through what little speed and power Taylor will have to offer, all the while fighting going backwards.

You are entitled to your opinion, david, but dont forget that AA didnt look that convincing against Simon nor against Oral within the fist couple of rounds.Jermain is better than Oral or Simon, and didnt look that shot against Froch up to the final round of their encounter.
Jermain is the underdog. No doubt about it!
Nevertheless,as we have seen before AA can be outboxed.
I for my part think that Jermain is still capable of upsetting the apple cart and win a point decision over AA.
Of course, I will be rooting and cheering for AA.
I am going to watch their encounter live in Germany's capital Berlin.Looking forward to it!
I very much hope that their clash will be as competitive as I for one think it will be!:good

I think JT has a very good shot at outpointing AA. I'm leaning towards a Taylor UD.
