I've not seen him that I remember, but lots of people say not to 'sleep' on him. They have me quite curious.

The only outcome of this fight that would surprise me, and then only mildly, is a stoppage by Taylor. I like Jermain, seems like a decent guy and has skill. My problem with this fight is that it could turn into a VERY SLOW paced fight. JT may show some patience and not just wail away at AA's guard. JT WILL hit AA with counters and that could keep him behind his guard. I don't mind chess matches but AA takes it to a new level. He uses his position as 'champ' to make the other guy come to him. That doesn't apply here, so....

So who, in your opinion, should be in the tourney if it wasn't handpicked by Sauerland?

    Bute? :rofl

You are an imbecile for trying to put down this tournament just because your folktown hero is not included. Wasnt it your hero that also said it's outrageous that these 168lbs'ers fight their hearts out for peas, when he's content fighting the likes of John Duddy and breaking the bank?

You are a ****ing joke my man.

We know Arthur can stay composed and dangerous for the full 12 rounds. We do not know that about Dirrell. Personally, I think AA might capatilize on Dirrells lack of experience. However, if Dirrell can keep his head for 12 rounds, it might be a bad night for Arthur.

Boo is the only poster on Eastsideboxing that puts down this tournament and believes it is Sauerland's way of promoting aa and Kess. He thinks Pavlik, andrade and bute should have been in instead of the americans.
He also blames arthur for not convincing wilfred to put pavlik in this tournament, when we KNOW the guy is not even close to coming back before the tournament starts. Don't take him seriously if the topic is about arthur or the smw tournament.:good

If you don't see this as Saurland's way to promote his own fighters, then there is no hope for you I am afraid. This is NOT the top 6 SMW in the world. Find me any credible list that has these guys listed as the top 6.

Dirrell would beat Butes ass. Ward would destroy Andrade.

I'm a Taylor fan who thinks AA will win based on Taylor's tendency to gas late in fights, but here are a couple of points just to play devil's advocate to the consensus that Taylor doesn't have a chance in this fight:

    1. Taylor has never lost to a shorter fighter
    2. Taylor has never lost to a less busy fighter
    3. Everyone is saying AA will be busier at 168 because he won't be weight drained. Once upon a time everyone said the same thing when Taylor was moving up from 160. Everyone was wrong. Stamina isn't always fixed by moving up in weight. It could be genetic, or it could be an issue not being addressed in training. OR, AA might be fighting in spurts because he, like Taylor, puts everything into every punch he throws. Doing this saps your energy, obviously.
    4. Taylor will be the best boxer AA has faced, and one of the biggest and hardest hitting guys he's faced. AA's turtle defense is good, but when he opens up he is offense only, and is open for counters. He has little head/body movement and is very hittable, as can be seen in the Miranda, Simon, Oral, etc fights, and can be hurt as was seen against Miranda and even the light punching Simon who had him holding on to finish out a round.

Taylor is a very, VERY live underdog in this fight and if he can fight like he did in the Pavlik II and Lacy fights, by jabbing, moving, and countering, he wins a decision (assuming the judges don't rob him). Smart money still says Abraham though.
