At this stage in the American Economy? No way. What would a flight cost? Transcontiental, 2 way, we are talking about dropping 1200.00 on a plane ticket. NOW lets say you only spend 2 days in the UK. Accomadation for the 2 days would be another 500 bucks. Now tix for the fight, at LEAST 600. $3000.00 to watch a Drag Queen fight a Brit? No way mate.

Vegas is another matter. The Round trip would be roughly 300 bucks, 2 nights at the Riviera another 300 and 50 to watch it on the big screen? 650 gets me there watching the fight, and winning enough at the Sportsbook to cover all expenses!:hey

If I had the money at the time.... i would definitely make the trip .. a lot of my friends from school live out there so maybe i could get a place to stay.... but to see a fight in that type of environment is once n a lifetime... it would be dope

I wouldnt even order a PPV for Hatton and I think most Americans would agree UNLESS he fights Cotto in which case I'm buying it because of Cotto.

I would pay to see Kessler fight any top American at 168 or 175 because I enjoy watching Kessler fight.

I would pay to see Joe C. fight Dawson and no one else. No I wouldn't pay to see a rematch with Hopkins and I can't believe anyone bought the RJJ PPV.

I wouldn't travel internationally to see any fights at this juncture because as you said; this economy is brutal. Too many people losing their jobs or taking pay cuts to plan a trip for a boxing match!

I might. The UK isnt exactly a desirable place to take a holiday. Rain, gloom, ugly women....Eh Maybe ill watch it on PPV and go to vegas for the next good fight. When I travel to see fights I usually spend a few days in the area. Much rather see this figt on the French Riviera!

As an English boxing fan, I'm sure the U.S fans will agree....Pac vs. Hatton at 140 is the best fight for boxing, Pacman comes down to a lighter weight, Hatton gets to stay at his best weight, a proven champion against (if he can beat Oscar) the solidifed P4P no.1.....Wembley....two heavy hitters.....Floyd Sr. vs. Roach....

That could be the biggest fight of all time. Money-wise (an probably hype-wise too)

Just hope Pac beats Oscar now. Don't want to see Hatton going back to 147 (unless Marg and Williams move up to 154, lessens his chances of getting destroyed)

You watch too much of The Simpsons. Tell me the likes of Cheryl Cole, Sienna Miller and Kelly Brook are ugly....you might not have heard of em, but I have heard of Rosanne Barr, Joan Rivers and Ugly Betty :)

    Oh, and Paulie sucks.

    Rightcross,

You have been to the UK then?

I've been to the states a few time and like it there, but its no better than the UK. its comments like yours that give rise to the stereotype of Americans being ignorant, which I have to say is nothing like the majority of Americans that I have met on holiday in your great country.

You do your country and people a disservice.

The way i see it is that Americans don't travel much at all outside America for a sporting event. Not having a dig, thats just how i see it.

Altho tbh most sports that are popular in America are only really popular in America. Baseball etc.
