Yes been to the Uk 3 different times, longest was 10 days in one go. My perception of the country versus where I live.

These are my experiences based on what I have seen. Of the 1st visit where I was there 4 days, it rained everyday, was nasty cold. The accomodations are crap and we spent the $$$.

Seriously want to compare a fight in vegas to a fight in manchester?

It always meakes me laugh when americans talk about British weather, we get either as little drizzle or a little sun, in the US you get blizzards, Hurricanes, tornados, hail the size of snowballs (happend when I was in Florida) yet a little drizzle bothers you? Really, who gets the worst weather?

its all about ambience when the fight is over. I like to enjoy myself a few days. I can do that easily in vegas or new york or miami or california.

    Manchester? :yikes

because our country is so massive you can see tropical to ice. Really? the Uk is about the size of one of our middle sized states. Really cant compare a huge vast country to a small island.

    Rightcross,

Bad weather is not confined to the UK, we had rain in NYC (and it was cold). Accommodation standards depend on where you choose to stay, yes there are bad hotels in the UK but there are very good ones too, similar again to the US in fact. What you spend also depends on the exchange rate, admittedly this has been in our favour the last few years but its looking better for you now (I've been to the states before and gotten $2 for a £1, last trip it was nearer $1.40).

Wasn't comparing Vegas to Manchester, it was Wembley which is in London & which as a city stands up to anywhere in the world.

Only reason I replied to you is there is no need to be so insulting towards other countries and people. I'm sure if I'd done the same about the US (which I wouldn't) then you would be a little pissed?

lol good point but no fight in america could compare to a ricky fight in the uk... they actually bring goddamn drums into the arena hahaa

are you really trying to compare rugby & cricket
    to
    the national football league
    the national basketball association
    major league baseball
    & the national hockey league?

soccer is the only real influential sport you have

its completely incomparable .. people in america grow up their whole life dreaming they can play one of those 4 sports.. in comparison i doubt little kids grow up dreaming of playing rugby or cricket... id be willing to bet sports in america has a greater influence over american society then sports in the uk has over uk society... its not an excuse but people have the super bowl, nba finals, world series, nba all start game, the pro ball and the mlb all star game to choose from ... american fans are not going to go to another country unless they are completely & definitely getting their moneys worth and not just in the fight but in the accomodations, night life, food, and sights.... American people are spoiled because as far as most things go we have the best of the best as far as choices go so unless your going above and beyond.... were not going to fork over our dough

Yeah but your excuse for not travelling was other sports, Baseball, NFL etc etc, the Uk fans still travel and they also have other sports as mentioned!
