so your saying that the weather in the Highlands is the same as that of Portsmouth at all times? The fact is the USA has worse weather than the UK, the end. Which countrys weather has caused more deaths?

Yah the sports in the USA are USA specific. They are not more important to the USA than is soccer to the euros.

I agree with Arran here. Our sports are only country specific. Not like NFL is in the olympics. Its surprising basketball is in the olympics, might as well just give us that gold everytime.

I wish I could but they beat us in the Rugby World Cup final in 2008 when we were defending champions:?

If we are talking about countries passionate about sport the only two I would put above Britain are Australia and South Africa, as much as it hurts me to say it!!

exactly thats my point... in the uk you have WAYYYYY better soccer than america does so there is really no point in coming to america to watch our shitty mls finals... in the eyes of most americans... our sports our way better than yours (with the exception of soccer/futball) so were not coming all the way out there and watching a ricky hatton fight... especially seeing how manny paqman isnt american and oscar is certainly not worth traveling across an ocean to watch... and no most definitely i wouldnt come to the uk to watch a football(pigskin) game .. that would be pointless because why waste all that money when i can stay in the states and watch a game thats just as good... are you starting to get my point?
i understand that the last 2 were rugby... but the other like 6-8 were soccer/futball ... i never denied soccer/futball having a major influence in europe... but i just dont feel the other 2 sports mentioned (cricket/rugby) have as much support? which to me should be obvious... maybe im wrong

you missed my point... my point is that if you ever meet someone from outside of america.... they might be like "jeez those yanks/americans really take their sports seriously"... ive heard this numerous times and for america sports is almost a bridge that connects all to one mutual base.. and that base & attention giving to sports in america is different than all other places in the world... the only sport that gets love in the uk like our sports get love is soccer/futball

i wasnt trying to say that american sports are more important than uk sports..... im saying in america "OUR" sports are more important to us...then in the uk "THEIR" sports are important to them...over all that is.... soccer/futball obviously gets heavy support.. but is cricket & rugby really getting serious love in the uk?
