As an Usyk fan, I don't like how he's trying to avoid Fury...

I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he did that interview in Ukraine and talked about how he's been in the gym for half the year in 2022, is nursing old injuries and didn't want to fight in December. Wanted to spend more time with his family and in Ukraine while they're still at war with Russia etc. etc.. He's got a lot on his mind and I sympathized with that.

But since then, we've seen him playing basketball (so much for those injuries he's recovering from) and he's now called out Deontay Wilder and will be at the Helenius fight? Really? He should be front row in the Fury-Joshua fight. And when Fury mops the floor with Joshua, he needs to step in the ring and call Fury out, build the hype for undisputed. He did call Fury out just after beating Joshua in the rematch, what's the issue now?

What happened to him fighting Fury early next year like we heard from him and his team? Undisputed has been put on the back burner all of a sudden? I'm calling out the BS. I didn't want to believe it at first but the more and more I hear from Usyk, the more I think he's ducking Fury. I don't think he's scared of him but he might be wanting to drag things out as long as he can to gain an advantage? I understand that, boxers do that all the time, but I didn't expect Usyk to be doing it also. This is a guy who's fought everyone put in front of him and in their backyards. But for the first time, I think he's swerving someone. I'm a little disappointed.

Hopefully it's just noise and mind games he's playing but I really doubt that.

If his management didn't bluff the whole we want to fight Wilder thing today due to butt hurt then I wouldn't care

How can they be upset Fury wants to fight the next best man after only having fought once this year?

All because Usyk has a slightly naff shoulder and wants a rest.

Bit of a weakness to say to Fury you aren't ready. Usyk will always have problems with that shoulder, he cannot cure it...same with Fury and his elbows. Both have to train smart. They both want to retire afterwards anyway!!!!

Funny this is Fury will happily lay up and let Wilder beat some more flesh off Usyk and age him out. Time is against Usyk more than Fury.

Also I thought Usyk would be smarter but his management are letting out all his gremlins like idiots.

Fury has shown nothing but strength and not an inch of lack of confidence since Usyk battered AJ. He knows how to play the mental games better than all.

How tf is Usyk ducking anyone you simpleton? This is the guy who, actually doesn't weight bully (like other more hyped guys), and has beaten numerous champions in their own backyard. He fought AJ in basically his second figjht at HW away from home, with the card stacked against him... Twice.

He's one of the only guys who isn't ducking and diving.

I gave him credit for that and I respect that. I'm only talking about this undisputed fight with Fury and for this fight, he's acting very suspect imo...

For Lords sake, get it over with this ****ty narrative fueled by Fury's fans to wreak avoc.

Usyk clearly declared to want to fight Fury on April and Fury on December. What the bloody ******** hell changes from December to April for the fans? Is here or outside someone whose doctor has given him 3 o 4 mounths of surviving for a bad desease and who therefore absolutely needs to watch the undisputed before dying? I dont believe it or at least I hope all are healthy.

Usyk needs to spend a little of his time with his family, play with his children and recover from two hard battles with Joshua. Thats all, he only deserves the utmost respect.

PS: So.. enjoy Fury vs Joshua and dont bust the balls anymore with this fully invented story, please.

We're getting ahead of ourselves. We don't know for sure whether Fury-Joshua is happening in 11 weeks, let alone Usyk-Wilder next year. If Fury beats AJ on Dec 3rd and immediately says "I want Usyk in March" and Usyk goes off and fights Wilder, then it's arguably a duck. But it's also an unnecessary risk for Usyk to fight Wilder. Provided undisputed happens in 2023 (preferably not toward the back end of the year) I don't see a real problem. These are unnecessary fights though, we've been through the "semi-final" stage three times now (Ruiz-AJ 2 and Fury-Wilder 2, AJ-Usyk 1 and Fury-Wilder 3, Fury-Whyte and Usyk-AJ 2).

Can you source it that Usyk has called out Wilder?

Scratch that. I see it is all over the internet that Usyk is saying that he wants Wilder because the Fury-Joshua fights has a rematch clause, and he feels Joshua could win and it might be a very long time before they can fight.

I admit it is disappointing, but he is essentially right. Joshua is a live log.

Just a terrible post...you are either very selective with your memory or you don't realize how quickly things can change course in boxing.... Pick up a new sport to not understand....

I blame both fighters. Fury is dumb thinking it can all be done within a 90 day turnaround and asking for 500 million what a joke. And Usyk calling out Wilder makes him look bad saying he was injured.

Fury wants nothing to do with Usyk. He never has. All he has to do is wait a few months to fight the finalist in the final for all the marbles but ever coincidentally he's found a way to fight the beltless semi-finalist who is 0-2 in his last 2 fights aka the opponent he always wanted out of the two of them instead of the finalist and reigning three-belt unified king. And if he loses that fight he's tied to a rematch with them.

All he to do is wait a few months and then we all get to see the fight we all want to see - the final between the two finalists. If he's so desperate for a tune up before facing this little useless MW, like he was when he walked away from the fight earlier on in the year, why not make a routine defence against a low level threat who is ranked in the WBC top 15 who he won't be tied to a rematch to? That bum from Tuscaloosa he euthanized forged an entire career out of doing exactly that.
