    Sunday, Manuel Rios, Brandon's Dad and trainer from Garden City's Bad Boyz Gym will fly to Oxnard to begin training him for his title fight against Acosta. Robert Garcia called on Manuel who was Brandon's first trainer.

    No Garcia, huh? Acosta is a different animal. I would think his style would fit right into Acosta's. Good idea to have a back up plan

    Garcia is still there but he has called upon Manuel to work with Brandon.

    Did Garcia say why? Rios just said in an interview everything was going well.

    Hope it's not a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth.

    Manuel has worked with Brandon before several fights. He spent several days in Garden City at Bad Boyz before the Peterson fight.

    Robert has to train Donaire for the Feb. 19 Montiel fight and also train his brother Miguel Angel for the Matt Remillard fight on March 26.
