Foreman LOVED De La Hoya. He was biased in general. Foreman was also obvious in rooting for Hamed over Barrera. He was comedy though. Lampley: Kathy Duva is telling Fernando Vargas to take the full five minutes to recover from the low blow. Foreman: Can you imagine a woman is giving instructions?
1st: Foreman Pro: Is the best in terms of entertainment value. He has the best voice for it as well. Former boxer so the knowledge in the ring is there. Con: Can be biased, sometimes gives an incorrect input. 2nd: Roy Pro: Technical, Usually accurate, Somewhat entertaining, His prescence is a good balance to Larry Merchant. Con: Ego trip.....i.e Trinidad Wright "well he never looks strong to me..." After Winky's corner told winky that [tito] doesnt look strong tonight. 3rd Manny Pro: Tells it like it is, sound input and vast knowledge. Con: Voice can be monotone, can be biased.
"this fight is going exactly as I expected" - manny steward i will kill myself if i hear him say that again
Write your will out, he'll say it during the next fight he broadcasts. At least you won't have to kill yourself on the 29th, because he's training and not commentating.
I think Roy held a grudge against Larry after he said "The best way to keep a glass jaw from being exposed is to simply avoid being hit, isn't that right Roy" followed by dead silence
OMFG!! Larry said that?!! LMFAO! Am I the only one here who thinks that old ****er is a funny mean old *******? Anyways vote here for Steward, although I agree I have heard that the fight is going exactly how he thought it would WAY to many times.
Jones provided good insight. He always had to talk about himself, but for the most part he was good and was the least biased of the 3, and I preferred his commentary over the other 2. Foreman occassionally provided good insight, while sometimes you wondered what he was on. He was usually entertaining though for the humor and bizarre factor.
RJ was like nostradamus when commentating. He really impressed me with his foresight, shows that he did know a lot about boxing, and he wasnt just an athletic freak
Roy Jones hands down. His analysis of the Hopkins-Taylor fight was amazing. I do have a soft spot for Foreman because he was the funniest.
Merchant: It's a shock to the boxing world. Foreman: I think it's a shock to your world Larry. The boxing world is not that surprised.
