As Enzo declines - does this impact on Hayes status

I feel sorry for Enzo - but Swaby got him early, Bruce Scott nearly had him. Then Haye and then 2 KO defeats out of his next 3.

What does this say about Haye? - He did what all other cruisers can do

It says nothing aout Haye what so ever, what it says is that Enzo's confidence and self belief is gone/shot.

I feel sorry for Enzo, seems like genuinely nice bloke but like you say his confidence has gone, I think he should just retire and not go into mma either.

It's a tough one with regard to the quesiton being asked by the OP.

Was Macca ever really that good?

    Who did he actually beat?

A loss early in a career happens to many fighters - but he was well and truly kept off the well beaten track. A fair few WBU turkeys (far worse than Hatton's) and was gifted the title when Johnny Nelson got injured and had to call it a day.

Those defences were pretty **** weak - Braithwaite was a decent one, but most of the others were either useless or bull**** Sports Network two week notice jobs (or both).

The gamble was taken with Haye supposedly being weight drained - whether or not the fight would have been made had Haye not been supposedly weight drained is questionable - media and hype would most likely have forced it anyway.

Had he got the Banks fight and won it - not entirely out of the question at the time, it may have rejuvenated him and set him on a different course..... but it's all over now.

Maccarinelli isn't Haye's best win so it makes no difference whatsoever.

It's a shame what's happening to Macca as he's a nice guy...He was promising early on but I think he's done well with the talent he has...

I hope he's looked after his money though as he doesn't have a way to make more.

Its doesn't really impact Haye, he has better wins on his record and dealt with a probably "prime" Enzo with ease.

Bit similar to the Calzaghe - Lacy scenario.

Do you lessen the win as Enzo/Lacy go on to have a less than stellar career or do you believe that Calzaghe/Haye ruined them?

It's the same situation as Holmes v Cooney. Holmes gets top credit cos of when he did it. Haye beat Enzo at his best. Haye sets himself apart in the manner that he did it as well.

I guess Haye took something from him. He was backing up after a long unbeaten streak, a few 'world' title defences that he won easily..... and got hammered.

He looked ultra-comfortable on Calzaghe undercards but on the big stage wilted horribly.

I like the guy and wish him well in the future.
