And even if it is a rant, how does that make my points invalid? I tell you: it doesn't!

Pac is a fan and media favorite (and a US market fighter) and was a good example how a journalist gives a free pass for the same foul based on personal bias, but Jones and Hopkins is a much better case: they are his countrymen and it's much harder to come down hard on them if you (and Yahoo!) lose them as interviewees and will give you a "f*ck you" face every time you meet them (which is very often). But that is no excuse to play commissioner and ask suspension vs. the foreign fighter who landed one punch too much and got rightfully DQ'd, but make it look like Jones-Hopkins was some boring fight of two old men. No. It was a disgraceful foulfest, and the very writer that seem to be concerned of fighters health in illegal situations, outrageously ignores what REALLY happened on Saturday. Don't you think it's "weird"?

Readers trust major news sources and accept articles as objective if they missed the fights. How does Kevin Iole make Abraham from Germany look and how does he make Jones and Hopkins look? We all know which was the worse case for bad sportsmanship, but for the readers, it's not Jones or Hopkins, they are old legends of the ring as Iole wrote on Friday. But it's about what happened on Saturday and how he ignores the incidents and punishment he so quickly came up with a week ago, so the most delusional fan could've opened this thread and the points would be still valid.

Care to argue ON TOPIC, why Iole would suspend one fighter and why he ignores the very dirty incidents of his countrymen one week later, or back to "he's just ranting" mode?

Which is okay, you follow the sport and don't judge based on articles, but on actual fights. But Iole still broke the code and his lines affect even these boxing forums: after last week you got dozens of "ban" and "dirty" threads all over the board, but as there's no negative feedback of him on the atrocious fouls of this Saturday, even boxing boards get over it easier. Now think what stays for the average reader: one dirty fighter who should be banned and two old legends who had a boring fight, when reality is very far what and how Iole made it look look like, and it is unacceptable.

How about neither Jones or Hopkins blatantly fouled the other one and rendered him unable to continue. Headbutts and even rabbit punches aren't as bad as getting DQ'd for hitting a defenseless fighter who's on the canvas and rendering him unable to continue. Yes, Iole wrote multiple articles trashing Jones and Hopkins(as well as their fight) but doesn't want to recommend that either get suspended for committing fouls that no boxer has ever been suspended for because he doesn't want to get on their bad side. I'm sure this makes perfect sense to you.

Still defending the guy... do you understand that he doesn't even comment on fouls that lead Hopkins to go (and unlike Dirrell, stay) in hospital overnight? And no fighter I know of was suspended for one punch too much, there were disqualifications, yes, but Roy wasn't suspended for 6 months after the Griffin fight, nor was it suggested by writers until past Saturday for Abraham. Which is quite funny, because this Saturday were series of definitely intentional fouls, and Iole did not only fail to ask for suspention, but failed to comment on it at all! So does Iole have strict rules how to comment on illegal punches or he doesn't? Can you answer this?

the amount of times these experts gets their picks wrong, i'm surprised any boxing fan takes them seriously. they're a total joke. if you're a gambler, don't listen to these so called experts because the chances are you'll lose your money thats how much of an expert they are.
