I very much doubt that Bika, Andrade, and a dozen or so others better than Mack couldn't have been persuaded by a decent offer.

Froch went for an easy opponent that could be had for a very small purse.

I have no problem with Froch having a tune-up, at his age, after so many hard fights, with Bute coming up next.

Will I buy a ticket? No.

Yeah, it is a bit of a soft touch, but only by Froch standards. Had a guy like Bute or Joe Cal taken this fight, it would be considered a test against a bigger man.

Froch will show up ready to rumble and make the fight entertaining. Mack isn't going to just lay down for him, either.

100% accurate. He would be a decent opponent on those paper thin resumes. He's pretty young, fairly skilled and has that "bigger man" alleged edge.

The boxing public would not have batted an eye had Bute lined up this fight. We would have said "typical," and moved on.

you have to be a delusional-TROLL-hater to not give Froch his props. This guy fought with creme de la creme of SMW division and definitely deserves an easy-stay-busy fight !:yep:cool:

boxing fans are such fickle creatures. After Andre Ward won the S6 and took a break to be with his family, people wrote him off lol. Then they were all over Froch for taking on Bute right after his loss to Ward. But now that Froch chose a soft touch, now they are disappointed, when this guy has fought top 10 competition for 5 or so years straight.

    Rubbish.

To take Bute, for one: Mack lost to Berrio (before Bute beat Berrio), to Andrade (before Bute beat Andrade) and to Johnson (before Bute beat Johnson). All by TKO.

If you think Bute would get away with fighting Mack in his tune-up against Froch, you don't know your mouth from your arse, mate. :good

After going through the Super Six all the way to the finals? Froch can fight a few cans here and there.

Anyway, by now I really dont think Froch need to be prepared to face Bute a second time. He'll probably dispatch him in style like in the first fight......:-(

We'll just agree to disagree. With the way Bute got leveled in Nottingham, I doubt the boxing public would complain about Bute/Mack.
