So you think he is unbeatable. I don't. No point in continuing the discussion since it's failed from the start.

Agreed. Althought I do think that too high (weight disadvantage) or too low (weight drain).....he will be beat.

Floyd would pot shot Williams to a UD.

It's possible. But I feel that potshotting is much harder when the reach and height are at such a disparity. Also, it's hard to potshot when so many punches are coming at you.

I agree with your post in that Cotto is a bad match up for Williams. However, I think we are under estimating the defense of Mayweather. I think he will look to severly limit the amount of punches landed by Williams, and counter punch effectively. Floyd CAN win this IMO, but he will do so through brilliant defense not offense. Even then, it would be a razor decsion.

Seen it. Clottey didn't potshot. And Margarito doesn't throw the same type of shots that Williams does. He puts power in them, throwing wide shots in combos, then taking breaks, then throws again. Williams throws more shots from more angles, and he takes no breaks.

Also, Margarito is slower and shorter than Williams with less reach. The only thing they have in common is volume. It's not the same volume nor is it thrown the same.

I think he would lose a razor thin decision. I am not in anyway suggesting PBF can't win or would get blown out. I think this is the worst matchup for him, as I feel Cotto is the worst for Williams.

I certainly don't believe that PBF can't be beaten. Jones was beat, Leonard was beat, Robinson was beat....anyone can be beaten and there is a style that troubles everyone.

Fair enough. I personally think Cotto has a great chance of beating Floyd. Both Williams and Cotto represent VERY hard fights for Floyd. Both pickem IMO. I would not be suprised to see them go either way, although I think the defense of Floyd vs Williams will suprise people.

True, but u can't throw volume punches when somebody is constantly moving. Floyd won't be stationary enough for Williams.

Money can do more then just potshot, he can throw combos you know. Look at last night, anyway, Williams was tired as hell in the 10th and ESPECIALLY the 11th round....that the round Margo raped him. Money never gets tired and Williams can't hurt Money anyway because he's a slapper and you use up a lot of energy when you are missing shot......Money has the best defense in boxing, the best pinpoint accurate puncher in boxing...and he know that Williams can't hurt so he will just walk him down throwing body shot and STRAIGHT LEAD RIGHTS!!! and those punches will reach Williams.

I remember Sharba Mitchell hitting Williams, he's very hittable.

I have no idea. You haven't been around these parts much. You'd be surprised how many people have PMd me asking if I was the real Jim Lampley.

There's no need to get your nerves in a bundle.

You know what, you make alot of sense. I agree 100% with you. People on this board seriously overrate Williams. They act like he's ****in Tommy Hearns or somebody. This would be a good fight
