I have read a more detailed report. Jackson looked good in round one, and got hurt by a hook in round two,m going down twice. He did not recover and was quickly stopped in round three. Judge for yourself what type of shape Jackson was in leading up to the match:

I have posted reports of Jackson's physical condition ,and his lack of preparation for this fight, and pointed out that Jackson was nearly 37.

Jackson had not engaged in a boxing match for 3 years [1895]. His opponent, on that occasion , was Gustav Wilkie, whose illustrious record was 2-3-1 it was a 4rd No Dec.

Prior to this Jackson had not fought for a further 3 years, when he took a 4rds dec over the mighty Danny Kelliher 3-15-4.

So, from 1892 until 1898 6 years, Jackson had 4 rds of boxing,in a no decision bout with a no body. Added to this he was an incurable alcoholic ,something which began in the Uk after his bout with Slavin, where he suffered a physical collapse, he was also in the throes of consumption.
Jackson had 1 fight after the debacle against Jeffries , a 4 rd ko loss to Jim Jeffords whose record was 1-1-0.

Jackson died on the 13th of July , 10 days after his birthday, he was 40 years old

YOU SAY HE WAS IN FINE FORM . IF YOU HAVE CONVINCED YOURSELF OF THAT FINE.THE FORUM KNOWS IT IS BECAUSE BY DOING SO YOU, CAN ELEVATE JEFFRIES FARCICAL VICTORY INTO A MAJOR WIN.
YOU KEEP ON BELIEVING IT, IF IT GIVES YOU COMFORT . WE DON'T.

After 1892 Jackson was unable to obtain fights. Past his prime, he was debilitated by fast living and probably even then tubercular. He taught boxing, worked as a publican, toured as an actor in Uncle Tom's Cabin and boxed exhibitions. In March 1898 he was sacrificed to Jim Jeffries, who flattened him in three rounds, and next year suffered the third of his losses in thirty-seven fights at the hands of a fourth-rater at Vancouver. Money was raised to send him to Australia, where he toured with Fitzgerald's circus but he was too ill to box. After several benefits he was sent to Queensland where he died of tuberculosis at Roma on 13 July 1901. He was buried with Anglican rites and pomp in Toowong cemetery. A magnificent tomb was later erected by subscription with the words, 'This was a man'.

You can't answer my questions McVey. Show me where it says Jackson was ill in preparation for the match. You can't, because he was in good working condition. That was my point. Your such a dolt.

While dying at 41 seems very young today, the average life expectancy of man man back then was not even 50. If you got sick, you were in big trouble.

Jackson collapsed ,and broke down physically ,as early as 1892, in London. He never shook off his alcoholism, and, many believe he had TB as early as 6 years prior to the Jeffries fight.AS I POSTED.

QUESTION . CAN YOU FIND ONE POSTER ON HERE WHO BELIEVES YOUR VERSION OF EVENTS ????????
