To be fair, none had jabs as powerful as Foreman's.

True, but it ain't just about power, but also about the ability to land your jab effectively.

Although I agree with some of your points, I don't think it's that simple here. Foreman dehydrated himself in the early 1970s, he was as big as possible at 220 lbs. He was also known for his physical strength, you know - not all 220 lbs fighters are similary strong.

I'd need very hard evidence to believe that Tyson is as strong as Foreman physically.

Tyson might not be quite as strong, but he ain't that far behind either. The gap in strength is small.

I’d like to see a tittle fight between Mike Tyson and the legendary James Figg

Which fights would you recommand to watch for Tyson physical strength? I've seen him against Holyfield and Smith, in both fights he was clearly weaker fighter and struggled in clinches.

I think we can say for quite sure he wasn't.

Look at Holy against Tyson and then against 40+ Foreman. The difference is huge. So either Foreman was much, much stronger in his comeback in middle-age after 10 years of inactivity or he was just the stronger man, period.

I'd go for the latter. Foreman was an effeing freak when it came to raw strength.

Its not just being good enough to stand up to him in itself. Its being good enough to answer what Tysons trying to do. And being good enough to stand up to him after the early onslaught.

Foreman ain't that strong next to Tyson? Muhammed Ali said he was the most powerful fighter he was ever in the ring with.
Tell me something, how old was this past his prime Tyson when Buster Douglas had him crawling around on all fours? Was he in his late 30's when a really past it Holyfield dropped him like a bag turnips from a pickup truck? Fact! Mike Tyson lost to the best fighters he fought Period, his best win was a 38 year old Holmes who was inactive for 2 years before their fight. Good night

I think we all overlooked how good Douglas record was. The record itself does not read well until you realise all the name guys he beat Douglas was “the opponent” each time and still won. He was matched to lose each time.

Cobb and Page were good when he fought them. Berbick was a handful. McCall and Mike Williams were good prospects.

    really good competitive matches.

This was all overlooked at the time.

You always do everything in your power to dismiss Tucker's IBF belt and his win over Douglas, and now here you are defending Douglas.

Cobb was trash. He was a C level Chris Areola/Briggs of the 80's. I do not care what the match makers had in mind when they put Page against Douglas or if they thought little of Douglas. The fact is Page lost 3 recent fights going into the match and it's simply not a very good win for Douglas other than name recognition.

And ?!? What's the relevance of that ?!
Ali never fought Tyson, Lewis, the Klitschkos, etc
Foreman was called "Big George" in his era, he'd be "Average George" in the modern era.
I'm not saying Foreman ain't strong, my point is mainly that the power gap between him and Tyson is minimal.

2 years past his prime. But not cause he was, but cause he wasn't training properly anymore, and his personal life was a mess. Dumping Rooney also didn't do him any help, since his skillset went downhill after that.

He lost cause he wasn't prime or properly prepared.

Actually, his best win was Spinks.

You can fault Frank Bruno for many things but he was as strong as a ox physically and despite his best rough house tactics, holding behind the neck, dirty clinching, rabbit punching etc Tyson literally rag dolled him in the clinch....................plus Bruno could really crack, he might not have the best delivery system but when he landed it was massive............the shot he caught Tyson reckless charging in would have put most Heavyweights on their azz or in AJ's case to the 100 count while Tyson buckled for a split sec and fired right back

Holy at 205 lbs fought Foreman in 1991. Holy at 215 lbs and roided out of his brains took on a less than 8 rounds under his comeback belt Tyson in 1996. That's 5 years apart and against different circumstances.

I thought you were smarter than this.
