Tarver looks to be in really good shape. It seems this young lion has gotten him training harder. He may have taken him more serious than his previous fights and actually got up for this one. I think this is going to be a very entertaining fight. I know there are a lot of prediction threads but did Tarver surprise anyone else coming in great shape ? Seeing he hasnt done it in ages.
Tarver always fights the best, if he remains active then only expect the best fights out there to be signed, he has no time to waste really and should be appreciated for that. This will be an extremely tough fight for him and coming in perfect shape is what he HAS to do, sadly though he might run out of gas late as he usually does depending how Dawson troubles him despite his great condition. I'm not surprised at all he came in good shape, he wants the recognition once again then he knows he got a great shot at getting it back tonight.
Oh I like him more than Dawson. I felt he didnt handle himself well after Johnson and Hopkins fights. He is funny but I thought he was the ultimate poor sport in those 2 fights and it just had a lasting effect on me.
He's not a good loser and he tends to talk his opponents down before as well as after the fight, some times, it's true. I didn't know much about Tarver as a person, except what I read on ESB, but I found this recent interview with him interesting. It changed my mind about him for the better: [yt]UmMfVP53NMQ[/yt] Think he comes across really genuine too - the real Tarver, behind the ****-talking, arrogant facade.
Tarver was also in real good shape against Woods and was throwing very sharp punches. Against Santiago, Muriqi, and Hopkins, Tarver looked flat. props to him for turning things around.
