I didn't see the fight but I'm assuming ward looked very impressive... I hope so atleast because nobody should be imprssed by ward beating mridanda..

I'm no Froch fan, but...... The fight will be in Nottingham and I doubt Ward will be able to hold his way to safety like he did tonight.

well he won a very wide UD, but it doesn't sound like it was all that impressive. at least not as impressive as i thought it would be. then again, i still need to see it as well...

He looked impressive in an amateur sort of way. As much as I'd love to see Froch taken out, especially by an American, I don't think Ward is the guy to do it.

It was far from impressive, he applied some Bernard Hopkins tactics in there tonight. Too much clinching and breaks in the action but Miranda did not really help the situation as he stopped throwing after a few rounds and he looked disheartened in there.

Ward is ok but I still think that he needs a better test than Miranda. Miranda is one dimensional. I think Ward should fight Allan Green.

He ducks mandatories, struggles against old men and refuses rematches after close fights. Dawson is a ****ing' joke.

How is Grand Rapids?Never been, far as i've been is Taylor...i think Dirrell would beat Froch. His defense is terrible as JT proved and he was winning until he got KTFO.I don't think Dirrell would get tried like JT and he moves well and has just enough power to keep Froch off of him and cruise to a UD.

I agree but it would be a boring fight because Dirrell would be running the whole night.

I think Dirrell has more power than Ward does ... unlike last night I think Dirrell wouldve gotten the stoppage.

I disagree. Ward is much tougher and has better movement than Taylor he's also a smarter fighter and better boxer. He will trouble Froch with his movement and won't hesitate to tie him up if necessary unlike Taylor. Froch-Ward is a pick em fight IMO.

:patsch Who the **** has your hero Kessler beaten? In why did he turn down a fight against him? Dawson is a much better fighter than Kessler who's claim to fame is losing to Calzaghe.:deal

I don't believe that Kessler will lose to anybody south of cruiser. The only fight that I am aware of that he ducked was against Miranda. Not sure why.

The thing is that tying up didn't bother Froch ... he just took Jermain Taylors heart away. I don't think it has anything to do with Tactics ... now I don't know how Ward would respond to world class pressure ...
I would like for him to beat Froch but I don't think its the right match up for ward.

Then again he hasn't lost a fight since he was a little kid and manages to win despite the odds.

i dont know ward to me show something special. especially against a man with the longer reach. ward control the outside, he control the inside, did a good job of switching back and forth from orthodox to southpaw, his stamina was great. he did take some of miranda punches but didnt seem to be bother. and to be his step up at 18-0 he handle that cut well in the first round course his coner did a great job with that. he show some good power and ripping body shots. and he never lost focus. miranda was trying to give all he got in the late rounds. so i think he defense was well too. i like how after the fight ward said he wasnt pleased with himself. so i will like to believe he will handle his own with froch at one time miranda was consider world class pressure
now we just got to get ready to hear green swear he would only give ward 8 rounds with him before he stops ward. he gave dawson six.
