Floyd's gonna run. If Floyd actually fights he is gonna get ko'ed if not then he will win in 12 boring rounds of boxing.

If Pac couldnt KO JMM, Floyd wont. Pac is the much better KO artist, Floyd should win a UD but an upset isnt out of the question.

JMM will be game but he will get outboxed and caught with something that he won't see and get stopped. PBF by TKO.:deal

lol some people think that because Pac was able to go up in divisions and still be successful JMM can do it also.
JMM looked bad against a limited opponent @ 135, and will look worst @ 147 against a top fighter.
He'll be like a B- level fighter at that weight.

I could c PBF soundly winning, but the Mexican isn't coming to lose. Mayweather fits 147 well. He is so gifted that he can compete at 140-154. If Floyd wins it will be great, but when he surely retires he will be docked bcuz he's fighting a blown-up lightweight that never fought above 135 and just had two matches at the weight. Nonetheless, good money match. If and big IF JMM takes it, it'll be great on his resume as he is moving 2 weight classes north to challenge a great boxer.

I think the extra weight will affect his speed, and Floyd will probably be as fast as always. And I dont know about the rock lifting, I hope he doesn't injure himself.

He should...... the guy is smaller than him..NEVER fought at over 140lbs... only fought 135lbs 2x ON ALL HIS CAREER!....wILL JUMP to 144lbs.....

If he's like PAC he'll defy logic!
Congrats to him if he beats PBF!

PBF fans, if your guy losses DON'T EVER GIVE the excuse that PBF is rusty..

Mayweather should go up and fight Dawson, using the same logic.

Not only the guy is coming up in weight. He is doing it @ the age of 35y/o. His last two fights were @135. But just a year ago (March 15,2008 )he was fighting @ 130lbs. That is a difference of 17 pounds in about a 16 months. If Floyd doesn't knock him out in less than 6 rounds he needs to go back to retirement.

Marquez is excellent at disrupting an opponents attack, Floyd depends on his defense and times his attacks. I see Marquez using his jab alot as if to insticate an attack from Floyd, once Floyd engages, Marquez responds with combos and throws Mayweather off his gameplan. I'm not concerned as much about Marquez's punching power, but of him maintaining speed and being able to take a welter's punch. If JMM can do that (the ladder being most important) than he has a great chance.

It's at 144, a catchweight. Marquez and his people said they WON'T take the fight if it wasn't at the catchweight which was later agreed on since they're the ones that asked for it.

Whether it was for Floyd or not, Marquez was planning to move up as he wants to secure a third fight with Pac and beating Mayweather guarantees that.

I think JMM has the right to stand back and counter-punch for the entire fight given the circumstances. Does PBF expect JMM to make all the moves? In that case, PBF will move away stylistically from his one punch - counterpunch - hold strategy and subsequently JMM will have the opportunity to lay some leather on PBF.

In the end, however, PBF will be a little too big. :(
