As much as i hated Naz, in his prime, he is very under-rated

Freakish reflex's, nigh impossible to hit flush when he was in his prime, concussive power in both hands, good chin and under-rated boxing ability.

Trust me, I really, REALLY hated the guy when he was fighting, but in his prime his abilities IMO dont get nearly enough credit

Oh and on a side note seeing barerra ram his head into a ring post was priceless

I agree I dispised him growing up he was rude, arogant and sometimes tourtured fighters and it pissed me off. The night Barrera beat him I literally took off running down the street screaming YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS I was that happy. He is underatted though and so is his resume.

Tough to tell since he fought bums before he faced Barrera.

Yep, Naz was a good fighter when he went to USA but relied too much on his power, all the old reflexes were gone that made him what he was in the 1st place. Us Brits saw the best of Naz.

I dont think MAB would have found time to be ramming any ****s head into any ring post if he were in there with the Hamed that beat Steve Robinson... not saying Naz would have beat peak Barrera but Marco would be in there with a COMPLETELY different animal.

agreed. only a few (Sanchez, Arguello, a few others) I would pick against him 100% in his prime. In his prime he'd have a far better chance of beating Barrera, Morales etc. He was less impatient then.

I think he was 4 going into the Barrera fight, I could be wrong but he was definitely top 10.

no he isn't, but the way Naz performed that night...unbelievable. And of course, Barrera knew it would be foolish to trade with Naz, hence he changed his style.

If you read my post you will notice I never said he was.... I simply said that poor Stevo was in the ring with an absolute peak Naz, Barrera was not & Barrera was in his own peak when beating Naz.

True dat....I also hated the motha****a..but you can't take away his skillz....conventional or not.His antics tho'...that's what made a lot of folks hate on his ass...That cocky gung-ho inyourface attitude rubbed too many people the wrong way..they still came to his fights tho'...even if it was to see him get KTFO...

I hated him after the way he disposed of my boy Bungu with ease....and so when Barrera spanked that ass I was a Marco fan for life.Always loved Marco...but that day...he made me a all-time fan..

The Prince was special tho'...too bad he could'nt police himself and get back into shape...At his absolute best,Marco would'nt have found it so easy...The Prince could crack....underrated speed too with his hands...

Loved the way he would almost crouch to the floor...slipping under the incoming....and then leap with one of thos haymaker left hands....If he missed he nearly alway spun around....but if he caught you,it's goodnite.

    Very underrated for sure.

Naz was very good fighter. He could throw punches from all angles and was a very entertaining fighter. Hard puncher too.
