Rigo did not impress in his last outing. I would like to see these two fight.

I like Ramos. Pretty good prospect but not ready for Rigo. I know Rigo has less pro fights, but hes not ready quite yet.

likewise, even though i'd pull for rigo to win ramos seems like the kind of guy to overcome him. he's fast, REALLY fast, has a high work rate, goes to the body real well, and can fight on the inside. i dont know, unless rigo can learn to fight with more conviction then he could rule. but if he fought as passive as he did in his last outing then ramos would eat him alive

Agreed. I like Ramos, he's definitely got potential.

I'm sorry brother, but the gym and the "ring" are 2 different things entirely. It's called sparring for a reason. That being said, I like Ramos more so than Rigondeaux. Rigo has failed to impress me. Ramos, imo, seems much crisper than Rigo from what i've seen.

All I can say is I hope he dumps Shields and goes back to Roach, FAST.

He's being turned into a smaller version of Wlad.

Also, Ramos seems much hungrier than Rigo. Rigo seems timid, and passive. To relaxed. BTW, Good point Flaco_1. I never have liked Ronnie. He doesn't seem committed to the fighters he trains. It's more about money than passion, for him. More focused on the quantity of the fighters he trains, instead of quality of his training. Most of the great trainers have a hand full of fighters (if that) that they commit to. The rest of time is spent in the gym perfecting the craft of training.

I don't know about all that.

All I'm saying is I don't like how Shields is changing him. Compare Rigondeaux's earlier fights to this last one, you can greatly see the difference.

Rigondeaux will go the way of Wlad soon (as in he will be widely disliked for his fighting style and unable to get PPV fights in America) and that's something that I pray over fresh chicken blood never happens.

thats a good point, but i still think it would make for a very interesting matchup. rigo has never faced a fast, high workrate boxer/puncher (haha, your screen name) like ramos. but at the same time ramos has never faced a technically sound boxer like rigo before. all i know is its definitely a fight pay to see lol

I'm thinking Maravilla's Gabriel Sarmiento. Sharped eyed and experienced trainer, no language difficulties and has the 2nd best southpaw on the planet under his hands. Also, Sarmiento's fighters like to mix up their boxing and punching (and Rigo packs a nice punch), they also have good conditioning, and Gabriel could spend as much time with the Cuban ad he'd like, he doesn't work in an overcrowded gym.
