As of now: Crawford or Lomachenko higher pound for pound?

This has nothing to do with TC's 2nd fight, this P4P list is the now(or very recent history). When people had RJJ as number 1 P4P they never brought up his fight with Stephan Johnson, because its irrelevant to Bud's credentials of being on the P4P list right now. Because Loma has had such a short career thus far, his 2nd fight has to be analysed, as do the last 10 bouts of Bud.

 

Well completely dismantling James Toney had a lot to do with people rating him #1 p4p. You do that to a fighter like that then by all means crown his ass.

You can't really compare RJJ to Loma or Crawford yet as Jones Jr. won a HW title and a MW title. Schooled Toney and beat Hopkins with a broken hand.

 

I'm not comparing their resumes, they have all been number 1 P4P though, so they have that in common. I'm just using Jones as an example, his P4P status had nothing to do with his 2nd fight, neither does Bud's matter, Loma's certainly does because he's had a short career.

 

You only need to analyze any top level pro fighters latter half of his career. A young prospect starts out fighting pure cans for 10-15 fights. Of course he's just going to usually blow right through them. Then maybe move him onto club level guys for another 5 or 6 fights, then move on to fringe level contenders for the next 5. Then fight your first "name" fighter (usually over the hill) and beat him. Then challenge for a world title and beat a weak paper champ. Now all of a sudden you're 23-0 with 19 KO's. And you haven't beaten anybody, but 1 past it guy and a paper champ. But the record looks good and you got a title as well.

A fighter racks up a long list of wins, but for most fighters you look at them and they just rack up those wins early in their career against total cans.

Fighters typically raise their level of competition and drop off their activity levels after the win a world title. But that's not always the case. Guys like Wilder are still on the bum tour.

 

Nobody fights like Lomachenko, nobody has the skills of Lomachenko period!!!!!!!

 

Lomachenko. The man is demolishing good fighters to the point they quit. He's defeated Walters, Russell Jr, Rocky, and now the all time great amateur and fellow top 10 p4p fighter in Rigondeaux.
These guys haven't even been competitive with him that's what a p4p fighter does.
And in 11 total fights that is insane. Clear cut Loma for me.

 

It's a pick'em proposition.

By resume, Crawford edges it.
(Yes, Rigo is a better scalp than anything Terence has, but keep in mind two wt class difference).

By eye test, Loma edges it.

So, take your pick.

 

So don't blow up the fact that he's fighting this great comp that you say, and then fall back on the "it was only his 2nd fight" excuse.

 

Jones was rpided to the gills, he achieved nothing in the sport. Lance Armstrong got his titles taken away ,Jones has too in my book

Loma is just better skilled imo. i rate him higher. but not by much, bud is a bad man, extremely adaptive and hard hitting.

I judge skills by one simple question ' who would fit in best at the Gallagher gym' Crawford or lomachenko?

Crawford easily , which means loma has more skill

 

He tested positive for something. He wasn't suspended and you said that he achieved nothing in the sport and equated his so called PED usage to Lance Armstrong. I didn't even say that about Headvetkin lmao.
