As of now, Joshua's legacy is basically Floyd Patterson

And that's not a bad thing. Floyd is somewhere in the top 20. But the parallels are great.

    -Tyson Fury as Rocky Marciano
Patterson was always dogged by comparisons to a more popular and better accomplished heavy that came before him. So is Joshua. Of course. Fury came back and Marciano did not, but thus far, Joshua and Fury have not gotten into the ring and it seems to be miles off.

    -Andy Ruiz and Ingemar Johanson
Patterson and Joshua both lost and regained titles against a guy that was on nobody's radar.

-Wilder and Ortiz as Machon, Foley, and Williams.
Both guys are defined by the contenders that they didn't fight. Floyd eventually fought Machon later, of course.

    -Oleksandr Usyk as Sonny Liston
This one is obvious. Two humiliating defeats to a better man. They were humiliating for different reasons, but both humiliating. Liston knocked Patterson out in one round twice, showing who the true heavy was. Usyk's were more hard fought, but it was an example of a cruiser that some felt have no chance embarrassing an "18 stone modern heavyweight". Two humiliations.

I like Joshua. Patterson rebounded well...let's see how Joshua does.

... Then who gonna be the Ali in this scenario?

    Also did Marciano avoid Liston?

    Jalolov, the next ATG heavyweight

A 6'7 destroyer god with feet like Pernell Whitaker. No one in the Pros can beat him

No parallels are ever going to be perfect. I just said they are compelling. Well, actually I aud "great," but compelling would have been a better word.

    Absolutely not.

Patterson is leagues ahead of AJ at this point.

There are a few stretches in your analogy but this is pretty darn good. Well done.

I will say this. As far as Johansson goes, he was not a guy on "nobody's radar'. He had been the number one contender for a least half a year before the Patterson fight.

Floyd was also the undisputed lineal champion. Received no gift decisions when winning Olympic gold at 17.
Ruiz was a late substitute while Ingo was the undefeated number 1 contender, having flattened Cooper and Machen.

It is a good point but I maintain that no one thought Into was going to win.

And he was also the European champion in a time when that title mattered, undefeated, as well as beeing an Olympic silver medalist.

But if your radar can't even pick up a colossus as Andy Ruiz, I understand how you could miss him.

Joshua has beaten nobody but an old, inactive, retiring Klitschko coming off a loss. He’s lost to an absolute pudding in epic fashion and been schooled twice by Usyk. He won’t be remembered fondly by historians. Only for a good laugh.

He got to 22-0 beating no top fighter, remembering Klit was 18 months inactive after getting schooled by Fury, so imo it's evident that he just isn't that good, his been found out after reaching the top level of opposition, I don't even think he beats Whyte or Joyce atm.

Luckily for AJ he looks like a carved goddess so it's allowed him to make 10s of millions.

AJ can still redeem himself. He can beat joyce, Ruiz again, Wilder, Fury?
Not sure he wins all those fights but he can stack his resume some more for sure and we cant count him out in any pf those fights.

Difference AJ attempted to get Ortiz, Wilder and Fury to fight mutiple times but they or their team aren't interested in fight.

AJ beating half dozen guys with better records than the like Wilder and Ortiz too.

People say Wlad was inactive like he was retired and out shaped. When the truth he was in two training camps during that time that time for the twice canceled Fury rematched. Wlad actually came in the lightest he had done in seven years and looked in great shape.
