Dude - I don't mind Asero - But he seems to have this pattern of threads he created obsessing with lists until he can find a way to make Manny number one in all of them.

    I mean - A list is always subjective...Always...

Pac stock has risen so high now, it can only get higher with a win over Floyd. A loss, any loss to any man at any weight will drop his stock a lot. As of now I am saying Pacquaio.

    You can twist anything.

Pac beat a prime MAB, Morales who beat p4p #1 10 months before, JMM...all who are HOF. He beat Dela Hoya in his 10th weight class and people can say Oscar was weight drained all they like, maybe he was, end of the day, this fight proves it was no fluke and probably was moreso Pac's skill that made that fight look easy than Hoya being that bad. Hatton was the undisputed JWW champ...Pac a former Flyweight beating the undisputed champ...think RJJ beating Lennox Lewis. Throw in his wins against Sasakul(lineal champ), Ledwaba(top 15 p4p) & Oscar Larios.

The only man to win the lineal/ring title in 4 different weight divisions in the history of boxing. 1 of the only 2 men to have won titles in 6 different weight divisions. And he's not scraping by them as Duran did against barkley, he destroys them.

I could say SRL beat a fat untrained Duran (which were the excuses at the time), won a very controversial decision over a past it Hagler and was loosing against Hearns before scoring a TKO.

Those are just fat excuses, but you get the jizz.

Please make this thread on the Classic mate, I'd love to see the comments in there. Personally I do now see a valid argument for having Manny higher.

there is already the thread in classic forum concerning jones and pacquiao...jones and chavez are almost in the same bracket 23-28th...

pacquiao is now legit top 25...higher than hopkins, holyfield, jones, arguello, sanchez and jofre

i think he is locked at top 50 even if he losses to cotto or mosley...but ofcourse he should not lost more than once...losing twice may put him in the same league as hearns

Chavez, but something like a Mayweather win or even something a bit less would put Pacquiao in top level ATG status.

both are clearly top 30 imo...there must be atleast 4 fighters in the last 20 years so that the list wont be bias against modern boxers

I don't know. I'll make up my mind when Pac's had 115 fights.
