The Ring have Spence at #5 which is ridiculous. He's a natural 154 pounder who has literally only beaten 2 world class natural 147 pounders (albeit damaged goods Brook is a natural 154 too) and he struggled badly against both even though one was damaged goods and hardly near their best for a number of reasons and they were both coming off losses, or rather should've been because the average Ugas was robbed against Porter.

Apart from that Spence has been beating up on career 140 featherfists who were or who should've been 1-2 in their last 3, career 140 Danny, and blown up 135 pounder Mikey who was fighting in his 5th weight class and one he doesn't belong in.

Spence has barely fought any punchers either. His CV is Featherfist Central. Brook and Danny can bang a bit but Mikey's KO % above 135 = 0. When he proves to me he can decisively beat world class fighters his own size and bigger or much bigger like numerous other top 10 P4P ranked fighters have been doing routinely then I might come around to the idea he's worthy of such a lofty ranking, Very good fighter for sure but his size, strength and physicality are huge assets for him against all these career 140 pounder featherfists and blown up 135s.

Clenelo has by far the best resume but his CV doesn't look anywhere near as impressive albeit still very impressive if he doesn't have the judges in his pocket and you factor in his two gifts against an old past prime GGG who FTR he would've had a significant weight advantage over in both their fights and Lara and Trout who he should at worst be 1-1 against. Miguel Vazquez is still adamant to this day that he was robbed in one of their fights and I for one believe him given Clen's track record receiving gifts and outrageous cards from the judges.
