It's still shaky, yes, but if it were as bad as it was earlier in his career, he'd have been down and out tonight. It's not like he just got smashed to pieces by a single punch from a guy with a 50% KO rate.

Also, I respect Khan tonight for not being afraid to take punches - That's something that fighters with dodgy jaws will often do anything to avoid, yet tonight he showed a willingness to mix it up where necessary. That was impressive.

    ????

I said once again. I know it's already happened, I've been worried for his chin in almost all of his fights since the Limond incident, let alone post-Prescott.

lol right, imagine I told you right after the limond fight that khan could take a haymaker from a p4p puncher and still be standing, what would you have said?

I thought a stiff jab from Maidana might well be enough to effectively end the fight, frankly. As a fan of Khan's, I'm pleased to have been proven wrong.

    1. He got seriously wobbled in the fight. Maidana's inability to put punches together at that stage because he was winded don't mean Khan's chin is any better.

    2. Khan's willingness to mix it up or inability to avoid mixing it up both have nothing to do with Khan's chin durability.

I was very impressed, personally I'd say Khan has a chin that's average at best. The punches that landed during the 10th were hard but it looked like Maidana was pretty tired at the point so it's not as if Maidana was able to land his best haymaker on Khan, he landed some good solid shots and it resulted in Khan being on ***** street for most of the round. He barely survived that round and was on the verge of getting knocked down for a good minute or so. That was a tremendous display of heart though, that's the thing that impressed me most.

I myself was pretty impressed with Khan's chin last night. I was one of those that thought the first hard punch that landed would put Khan to sleep, but I was wrong. That being said, Khan needs to work on his defense. I was surprised at how hittable he was last night. More work on his defense + his much improved chin could mean good things for him in the future.

Only idiots think he has a "glass jaw".

I've only been here for a few months but apparently anyone who gets knocked down or knocked out has a "glass jaw". according to most people here
