Well yeah you gotta point ....kinda forgot that DLH has been fading late in the rounds for a while.DLH imho wont hurt Margo so he would have to outpoint him.Margo could do damage body wise a la Hopkins.**** it could might as well be a great war between the 2......Maybe a sellout at Staples Center or Aztek Stadium!? Damn i wouldnt mind being Mexican for a day if this were to pop off....LOL
It sounds good, but he wont fight Wright, and Sugar Shane is the reason why. At this point, it's down to about 4 guys, or he will wait until May of 09. 1. Tito Trinidad at a catchweight of 165. But this means a 50/50 split, as far as $$$ and Promotional Rights. 2. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Julio fights Vanda in a big rematch in October, in Mexico, which means another W for Jr. Man, this fight is as natural as a Megafight as possible for a 36 year old DLH. It could happen at the MGM in May of 09, for a minor Title (WBC International) and you talk about a sellout, and some major PPV sales. The promo for this alone would be gold, to HBO and GBP and Julio, not being an established star or champion, would have to fight for the lesser $$$. 3. Rematch with Money. A personal favorite, that would **** some fans off, but a way for OScar to get redemption against a Class A fighter. 4. Margarito-DLH. WBA title on the line. Great fight, interesting match up.
I agree and that's the biggest reason why i don't want him to fight Margo or Cotto. let him stick to fighting guys his own age that won't mess with what's going on in hot divisons.
I wouldn't count out a fight with Pac just yet. He has to be one of the front runners still. Chavez Jr might be on the shortlist too. And don't count out Oscar moving his fight back to next year and beating the **** outta Ricky Hatton.
I doubt he's going to go after Margarito. I wouldnt mind seeing him fight Cotto but id probably rather see him fight Trinidad! And A Winky fight would be boring as ****!
If he has trouble making a fight i'm available. I'll take a 90:10 split in his favour and a dive inside 5 seconds. he goes out on a still questionable victory and I get a nice nest egg.
According to some sources, DLH-Mora can be the fight Oscar is looking for - but Mora has to beat Forrest in the rematch first, and I think he won't get past a focused Vernon. So maybe another name, not on the list is available: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. You could say it's too early for Jr., but I don't see the progression in his game at all, so that unbeaten record will go away soon anyway. But the kid's got a heart of a lion a good chin and most of all, size, punch output and stamina advantage over the old Oscar, so maybe Arum is ready for this sacrifice. Don't forget that he was to put PacMan in the same ring with Oscar and that was a bold move. So why not the naturally bigger man, Julio, with a possible 1,5M PPV? Maybe in defeat Chavez Jr. will earn the love of the Mexican fans - without an unbeaten record to protect he can deliver us what he is all about: great, exciting brawls no matter win or lose...
