Time stamped What is it with Warren's fighters. I noticed as well in this interview that Talksport (who have been putting out a lot of Queensberry fluff pieces the last few months) were quick to dismiss of a potential fight with Frank Sanchez who has been calling Joyce out. Joyce said he might looked to target someone in the top 20, then moved onto talking about how he might just sit on his #1 ranking with the WBO...smh
He's 37 and probably his only chance of a payday is that number 1 spot. Clearly having trouble getting opponents to face him so what do you want him to do?
If the undisputed fight happens, Joyce could be waiting until late 2023 before he finally gets a shot. If he's really good, he should be able to have at least one fight in that time against someone who's actually decent. He's a good fighter, but lets face it - jennings, Dubois, Takam, Hammer? All the types of opponents Wilder beat to defend his title. He hasn't really proven much. He should have to face someone like Sanchez or Ortiz at least?
Please. Frank Sanchez throws about 5 punches a round and couldnt get Ajagba (glass jawed) or Hammer (Joyce just steamrolled) out of there in a combined 20 rounds
Yeah pretty sure he is mandatory. Shame he is with Warren as im sure Whyte would face Joyce and they would get paid. Parker fight would have got him a decent payday but he ran for the hills.
Sanchez, Hrgovic, Helenius and Hunter I always die a little inside when people mention them lot as a genuine threat.
Add Joyce to that list. Actually don't, his resume is actually worse... Brits: dieing on a hill for their also rans, but quickly abandon their champions
I don't believe that hogwash for a second. Correct me if I'm wrong, team Joyce called out Ortiz. Then ran from the smoke smh He is being protected till Warren can cash him out. WBO #1 and potential world title challenger having never fought a top #15 opponent. Says it all. He's actually telling you in the video he doesn't want to risk his position. A position bought not earned
Its been confirmed that Luis Ortiz was alive during the napoleonic wars. In his last fight, the worst heavyweight champ in history and former Epstein island resident prince Charles battered him around the ring before a lucky punch from the gods
