Usyk v Gassiev, another great win for the best Heavyweight in the World, when he was at Cruiser taking names for fun.
Again you can't seem to comprehend what I'm saying. You're a boxing fan. Joyce will 100% fight before his shot if the money is good. Its literally that simple. Why is it boxing fans always dispute the same basic principle of this 'sport'
If the money is good? 'Sport' involves competition. A promoter purchasing artificially high rankings for his fighter to sit in the #1 spot whilst taking non-competitive fights for years is anti-sport. Now we can say, sure that is just the way of things in professional boxing, but we are allowed to criticise the obvious conflict between business interests and sporting interests. As a boxing fan surely you understand that. Edit: anyway...I'm not sure we are going to agree on this one. But it's always good to have some push back on my views. Cheers
No he won't. He's just pretty much said he won't. Lol @ FW. He's gonna make Joe sit it out, yet he's trying to get Joe to fight Wilder! Joe's all hype right now.
With everything tied up for the rest of this year already I honestly don’t blame Joyce for sitting tight and ticking over
Do you really think the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson would have had as any fights if the money was as good back then as it is today? Dave Allen is pretty much set up for life, never even won an area title.
Pudding Chisora and Pudding Whyte must have racked up close to £100m of loot combined with only one British Heavyweight Title between them. Yet @Brixton Bomber seethes when this is called out.
Um, yeah, I agree. Thanks! Chisora when he was a contender fought Fury, Helenius and got a voluntary against Vitali for his efforts. Add names like Pulev, Whyte, Takam, Kabayel, Haye Whyte was WBC #1 for donkey's years and kept fighting dangerous opponents risking his position. Hence the financial reward If only Joyce would do something similar...there would be zero complaints from me So thanks for bringing up that comparison, I guess. You made a great point about what it takes to become a commodity in boxing that fans will pay to watch win lose or draw.
With the exception of the Fury and Vitali fights, it was only the Intercontinental Pudding Titles at stake for Whyte and Chisora - the slugger v the plodder with both British Level at best.
That reminds me is Joyce going to actually defend the British belt he has been sitting on for the last 18 months? Cheers, Jürgen, you are full of great points today
Nobody wants to fight Joyce - Paint Dry Parker the latest to swerve him. Cannot see either Pudding Whyte or Pudding Chisora stepping up to fight Joyce for the British Heavyweight Title.
Steady on, think Hughie Fury would make a nice regional level opponent first. After all Joyce is only 26 years old and 14 fights in, no rush...the baern is still developing
