The win over Winky gives him an edge just because Ring magazine have him listed in their P4P rankings? The win over Tarver is good, but Winky????

What other Tarver? I mentioned the best names from Hopkins' resume, and then I mentioned the fighters from that list that were more accomplished than Kessler.

Please man, there's a matter of weight classes. Don't be stupid. P4P Tito and DLH would KTFO of Mikkel Kessler.

Winky would get killed against Kessler, as would Trinidad. I'd favor Kessler over Tarver and Johnson.. especially the Johnson that Hopkins fought.

Please tell me you are joking with Winky and Trinidad. Have you seen the size of Kessler, the guy has to near enough strip naked to make the supermiddle limit. How the hell does Winky get past Kessler's jab? I wouldn't even like to think about Trinidad, the kids health would be in serious danger

What chance do you honestly give them?

If that's the case, then why does Hopkins get so much credit for beating them both? The DLH win is absolutely the most overrated win on his resume.

Now you're just talking silly. Now way in hell would Kessler kill Winky, and he has very little chance against Tarver. Kessler is a 1-2 fighter who relies heavily on that jab. He does not fare well against southpaws the caliber of Wright or Tarver. Tarver is much bigger than Kessler as well. Glen Johnson was 32-0 when he fought Hopkins. He even said himself that he was at his peak that night and would've beaten anyone else that night. Have you even seen any fight of Johnson before that fight?

just fooling around mate, you said tarvers name twice in the same list, but come on man,you dont honestly believe that a win over odlh at mw for bhop means more in boxing terms than a win over kessler for joe?

Because he beat them both close to their best weights and closer to their primes. it's not as if he was 168 lber picking on a 147 lber which people often think is the case. Calzaghe never done anything like this.

2001 Trinidad could've given Kessler a good scrap. What people don't remember is that Trinidad was supposed to fight Jones at 170 after Hopkins. After a long layoff he recently gave Jones a decent fight at 170. Roy isn't at his best, but he's still faster than Kessler and showed excellent defense in that fight. Trinidad was active and 28 in 2001. Kessler is much more basic than Hopkins, and much easier to deal with. Tito would have given him a good fight. Once again, I don't like Kessler against southpaws. Winky is not a small man. He can fight at 168. Given the fact that Kessler is a head hunter and 1,2 puncher, I think Winky could beat him.

We are not talking p4p here, you seriously think Wright beats Kessler at 168?

Wright has a horrible style for moving up in weight. He loses his speed and mobility. His punches have near enough no effect above junior middle, nevermind at 168. Even his jab is going to look weak against Kessler, he's beaten at his own game. What's to stop Kessler walking through him?

Wright better be a good marathon runner.
