What does Winky have that would bother Kessler? Winky's best weapon is his jab and Kessler's is 5 times better than his. I think Johnson would do better against Kessler than Tarver, even though they'd both lose.

Come on.. you can't see a difference between the Johnson that fought Hopkins and the Johnson that won belts at LH?

A win over Tarver, Trinidad and Johnson is better than Calzaghe's win over Kessler.

DLH had no business whatsoever fighting middleweights.. and his fight with Sturm supports this. As a matter of fact.. Hopkins gets even less credit from me as DLH was keeping the scores so close before the KO.

Kessler's jab would basically be a non factor against Winky. It's very hard for an orthodox fighter to jab a southpaw. A lead straight right and left hook are the weapons you need against a lefty. Kessler has a good straight right, but he has to set it up with his jab. Winky would be much more effective with his jab and would be able to counter Kessler all night. It would be a good fight, but Winky could definately win.

Glen Johnson got his ass whooped against Hopkins. He had no answer. So of course he didn't look good in that fight. However, you have to look at what he did before that fight and what he's accomplished since.

You've only seen Wright one time above MW, and that was against a guy who is very resourceful and has all the skills needed to deal with a lefty. Kesselr is much more basic than Hopkins, doesn't work the body, doesn't throw the left hook much, and has to setup his straight right with his jab. Winky made a smooth transition from JMW to MW. I think he could give Kessler a good fight at 168.

What weight did they fight at? Hopkins 156lbs, DLH 155lbs. Hopkins looked weak as **** in that fight, but still outboxed and ultimately KOd that fool DLH. Hopkins doesn't get much credit for that fight, but I think it was a nice victory.

Who's to even say that Kessler can't deal with southpaws.. because he lost to Calzaghe? I wouldn't even favor Winky to last the distance with Kessler.

I did look at what he accomplished before the fight and he accomplished nothing except adding wins over nonentities.

Tito at MW knocked out William Joppy ... he and Bute were the only ones to do so.

B-Hops resume is amazing and is far ahead of Calzaghe's ... wins over Johnson, Tarver, Trinidad, DLH, Joppy, and Wright. Even his losses Taylor and Jones are more impressive than anyone on Calzaghe's resume.

He has wins over 2 guys that beat RJJ ... Calzaghe has wins over Lacy, Evans Ashira, Peter Manfredo, Sakio Bika, and Mikkel Kessler.

    Less than impressive resume ...

We'll never know because he's never fought anyone of serious importance.
But Kessler would lose to Johnson or Tarver. He'd lost to Tarver by decision and to Johnson by KO.

I just don't see what he does in this fight. Say he outjabs Kessler, you think Kessler is just going to stand off him and lose a decision? Wright can not hurt him at all, not one bit. This is a guy Calzaghe himself said was very strong. What if Kessler walks forward and forces him to back up?

The more I play this fight out in my head the more I see Wright going backwards, and Kessler hammering one twos on his guard whilst Winky plays peek-a-boo. I think he gets worn down, and looks badly out of his depth at 168

Trinidad was the overwhelming favorite in that fight. Most people don't remember what little chance Hopkins was given. Tito was undefeated, top 3 p4p, and had just knocked out Joppy. Hopkins was going on 37 at the time and didn't look that great his last time out against Holmes. Trinidad wasn't a force at MW because he only fought 1 fight there. However, he had fought for a few years at 154 and picked up some good wins.

Calzaghe isn't a force at LHW. However, most would agree that this would be a huge win for Hopkins. The situation is similar to the Trinidad fight. Hopkins is once again given no shot, he's going against a top 5 p4p fighter, ther guy he's fighting is coming up in weight, his opponent is 7 years his junior, and his opponent looked much better in his last outing than did Hopkins. Everything is very similar to the Trinidad fight. I'm not saying Hopkins will win because of this. However, dismissing the Trinidad win would be similar to dismissing a Hopkins win over Calzaghe.

That guy is a clown. Where is Reid, EUBANK? :rofl

It's better to lose to Jermain Taylor than beat Kessler or Eubank? Is Jermain Taylor Ray Robinson reincarnated? :rofl

    ****ing muppets need locking up.
