Margarito is way too slow. We all knew he wouldnt hit Pac much. another thing though is if Margarito wasnt 165 on fight night there is no way he would have taken all the punches he did from Pac. Had they been the same size Margarito would have been KOd. Comparing those 2 fights is like apple to oranges.

Why does it not surprise me that Mayweather is fighting Ortiz, a Jr Welterweight next, and is planning on fighting another next year?

Call me cynical but when Floyd fought Oscar he had the inside scoop from Sr that ODLH was done, what age was he and how active had he been?

Baldo was a slow moving dinosaur.

    Chicken legs Judah.

    Hatton up in weight.

Marquez up A LOT in weight.

    Seeing a pattern here?

Floyd may well just be "shrewd" and taking the best options for his personal agenda and you cant blame him as he has made a fortune, but don't try and say he fought the best.

He's STILL not fighting the best ...

I dont. It means no more than Roys win over Trinidad. There was just way to much of a size disparity.

Bull**** to your criteria. Marquez was looking for a challenge, not an easy fight. He got it.

No one is the defensive wiz that Floyd is, you don't discredit a guys performance against him because hes better defensively. What a crock of ****.

History is full of all sorts of fighters coming up in weight fighting all sorts of styles and being successful or at least competitive.

Theres no pattern except for the one in your imagination.

Baldo hadn't lost in 10 years before fighting Floyd and beat Zab, who was the legit champ of the division.

Judah was "chicken legs" against Tszyu, Floyds not a similar fighter to Tszyu AT ALL. Also that fight was signed before Zab fought Baldo, you can;t blame Floyd that Zab ****ed up.

Hatton had fought at 147 and in fact held a title at the weight.

    Marquez asked for that fight.

So what is this pattern you think you see?

You cant pick the comparison that is not similar. Just show me a similar case. Obviously doesnt have to be a guy as good as PBF defensively since obviously there hadnt been many in the history of boxing but just a good defensive fighter who is bigger and elite.

Hey your the one who said you could supply an endless list so do it.

    Im still waiting.

Well, when you put all sorts of ridiculous conditions on who can be on the list, then sure, it suits your argument just fine.

Ortiz is the top ranked welterweight in the world, not called Manny or Floyd.
He is BIGGER than Floyd. He'll probably be 5 pounds or more heavier than Floyd come fightnight. You saw the press conference photos right?

Hatton weighed more than Floyd on fight night. Hatton even at light welter often got in the ring at 155.

Baldo was the undisputed champ (who had 13 pounds on Mayweather, yet you didnt hear Mayweather crying about having to fight a bigger man).

Judah, was highly ranked Welter at the time too.

So no,I dont see a pattern.

*****s reaching hard to make this a Legit win... which will never be....

They fighting hard because Money's Resume isn't as good as Pac's so they need this win to at least have another ATG... because other then a Past his best DLH, and past his best weight JMM... he has no one.

PAC has the Most ATG's and will always rank higher then Floyd the ducker. Unless floyd nullifies his ducking career by taking many good fights at the end of his career with hard competition.

This is a legit win. Except it's such a drop off for Floyd from the two biggest challenges he could be taking on.

Ok so lets look at it your way.
Here is the comparison you are making.
Here is the examples you originally gave:
    Leonard-Duran
    Pac-Margarito
    Morales-Diaz

In your argument this is what it would equal:
PBF would equal the Leonard, Margarito and Diaz.
JMM would be the Duran, Pac, Morales

The only one that makes your point valid would be Leonard-Duran which like i said was a once in a century type of performance and Leonard reversed that "fluke"
