Yeah I know but I think both are so mentally strong and tough it won't be a factor. I am concerned about the body attack but for someone who is supposedly so weak to the body we've not ever seen him hit the canvas from a body attack as a pro and he's fought a ton of punchers, including one of the sport's premier body punchers in Gassiev who also happens to be one of the sport's most fearsome punchers period. And Usyk stood up to a vicious assault downstairs from the much bigger vicious punching AJ and it didn't take the wind out of his sails towards the back end of the fight.

Fury has to worry about what's coming back at him too. Usyk obviously doesn't possess The Dosser's power but I believe he can hurt Fury and that Fury will have to respect his power, accuracy, combination punching and speed.

I'd swear Usyk's sillier boosters on this forum (which is most of his boosters on this forum) actually believe he's facing that version of Fury.

If Fury wounds Usyk, the dog in him will be a factor. Though Usyk wasn't in great trouble in the 9th round of his last bout, he was in discomfort and in need of a regroup. Bismillah didn't have the stuff in him to capitalize on those moments. Fury is more a fighting breed than Bismillah will ever know how to be, so, should he put Usyk in flight mode for a period, he has a much better chance of pressing the advantage home and shutting the door on any chance of a rally, whereas Bismillah's partial commitment to the moment (i.e. fear to let it all hang out), uncalculating selection and lack of understanding as to how to impose his physicality meant that Usyk was never placed in any real peril in that round, hysterical commentary notwithstanding.

You must've happened upon a hot tub time machine, Lou. You got a jheri curl?

As good as Usyk is I can't see him beating Fury unless the coke and burger binging goes into overdrive before they fight.

That whole sequence in round 9 all began with AJ going dirty on Usyk. He pushed his head down and then tried to crack him with sneaky shots as he was in a vulnerable position, not to mention the illegal hammer shots to the back of the mind, and then he just jumped on him doing his poor man's robot Calzaghe version not giving Usyk anytime to regroup. But Usyk wasn't hurt or in any danger of touching down or being stopped. He just covered up and weathered the storm and then proceeded to batter AJ in the next round.

I could watch this for hours

It was the body shot that got Usyk thinking and backing up more than any of the attempted rough stuff, which was Bust My Case's inept attempt at showing some junkyard steel. Fury will be a very different animal in that situation is all I'm saying.

I mean, it was a grittier iteration of Joshua that night. But only by Joshua standards. It's a relative thing.

The official USYK17 YouTube station had some killer-diller alternative meltdown footage, which showed Hype Lickle Youth making more of those weird "rawwwrrr", "awrrrggghhh" noises (the same ones he was making right before he went off on Malik Waleed). Unfortunately, they took the upload down at some point, probably upon request from Matchroom.

I think he felt the weight of some of those body shots but I think anyone would of, especially from a huge puncher who was that much bigger and heavier than them, but he wasn't hurt by them, as in any real danger, and I think it was more a case of AJ pouncing on him and not giving him a opportunity to regroup that made it look much worse than it actually was and the commentary team wanted us to believe.

I agree but I think Usyk is tough and gritty enough to withstand it and I see this as a distance fight.

 Unfortunately I didn't manage to catch that

The only way Fury can possibly win is to make the fight dirty with fouls etc.
I think Usyk beats the recent version of Fury to a UD.

People deluded enough to believe Uysk will do to Fury what he did to Joshua are going to be in for a rude awakening. Fury is one of the best I’ve seen at exhausting his opponents. He just drains the life out of guys with the constant feinting, physicality, well timed body punches and attrition inside fighting. Usyk’s legs are going to be wet noodles by round 6.

Agree. I don't see either getting stopped I think Usyk has the better engine with the higher output. The only way I see Fury winning is to spoil but he would need to be in better shape than the last two fights otherwise Usyk outpoints him.

He also has the faster hands and feet too and I believe that's going to be a crucial factor in this fight.

It's only a handful of Usyk boosters I have any time for, and even some of those are big-league sleeping on Fury.

    Tyson's history shows that's a huge mistake.

Can't wait for this fight. All will bow to the world's heavyweight champeen. Or **** and moan and move on to the next guy around, as usual.
