Pacquaio will be more appreciated as an ATG 10years after he retires. What hes doing now is really going to get appreciated then. He really is the modern day Henry Armstrong

im talking about styles and ability...high workrate, great stamina, catquick reflexes...speedy head and foot movement..punches comes from both hands in combos

pryor may have a better head movement but pacquiao is a better KO artist

It might do it, but the catchweight thing might hurt him.

I think what Pac needs is to settle in one division, lets say 140 and fight and beat lets say the best three or maybe four guys there and that will do it for him.

By the way, don't put too much stock in being lineal..... Arguello was not the Lineal Champ at 130, the lineal champ was Serrano, but Arguello was considered without discussion the real man there. He completely dominated that division at the point that he is considered if not the best ever, one of the best at 130.

Arguello and many other ATG are not considered greats just because they were lineal, they are considered great because what they did whether they were lineal or not...

Asero makes me laugh ...he is pure comedy. Winning more weight classes is not an indicator of greatness. By that logic we could say that Pac was better than Ali....which is why we look at quality of opponents, the number of defenses, and ability. Pac is on his way to greatness but have some respect for the dead at least!

El Flaco Explosivo is missed by our community God rest his soul.

    Yes you did.

And I have seen just as many chumps say Mayweather is better than Sweet Pea (more ridiculous than saying Pac is better than Arguello) or that Wlad would give Ali a pasting or that Joe Calzaghe could outpoint Roy Jones and is greater p4p than Bernard Hopkins, etc etc etc.

If you look for the radicals and let them bother you, you find them and you get bothered. Pac fans morale is too high just now in the aftermath of the Hatton win, but that's perfectly routine on here. It's always the same when a great fighter has a big win.

We will never see more unbearably insane examples of sensational nuthugging than when the zero-king Joe Calzaghe was at the apex of his glory smashing the **** out of the ghost of Roy Jones and fooling the rank and file of his support into believing he was an unstoppable ATG demi-god.

At least Pac is the p4p#1 right now and has weight-jumping feats that will ring out through the centuries. The man has earned some huggery. Same as Floyd and the rest. It's the way of the world.

He is not really that similar to Pryor, is a greater fighter p4p, better resume.

Pryor would maybe beat Pac at 140, but Pac is not a natural 140, he is just going for it up there for the glory and the green.

Manny is the better fighter. To say he is a poor man's Pryor is a horrible and insulting comment.

Aguello consistently beat 7 shades of **** out of short, agressive fighters, and THAT is not even debatable. At 130 there is only 1 fighter in history I would pick over Alexis. I'd pick PBF in a 12 rounder, but ONLY if it was a 12 rounder. Over 15 Alexis finds a way.

Fleaman sorry to come back to you quite late. I have been doing so much travelling on business that I hardly know where I am. I think like you that Pacman has to be rated very highely for what he has achieved. However I also do think that things have gone into serious overdrive because of his last 3 victories. In my view I cannot see Pacman at his best defeating Arguello at his best which is what I think we are looking. I agree that Arguello would stop Pacman.

I think quality of opposition is more important than weight jumping.

    :verysad No, I didn't.

Pacquiao has not earned the right to be "clearly" ahead of Alexis Arguello. Sure, I expected Soriano, Enzo, and those guys to vote for Pacquiao, if only because they don't even know who Alexis is. But so many people? I didn't think it had come to that.

Pacquiao "clearly" ahead of Alexis Arguello?
