I hope Arum lives long enough to see Top Rank dropped by ESPN

I personally gave AH the first 2 rounds as Shakur was simply reacting to "nothing". AH wasn't doing much either other than shadow boxing. The first 4 rounds were about as exciting as an intermission.

And you didn't say he "deserved" at least 4 rounds.....You said he "clearly won" at least 4 rounds, suggesting that beyond the first rounds AH handled Shakur in multiple rounds. Which never seen in full control of ANY of the rounds which is what CLEARLY means to me. I'm not saying that he was the victim of a shut out or master class. He definitely did some good things last night. Has arguments for winning multiple rounds but CLEARLY won at least 4....... I don't know about that.

I am surprised that they already haven´t. TR was doing fantastic numbers when they first got on ESPN, but now it´s a different story. Not to mention the fact that TR barely has any marketable names these days.
Their current deal ends in 2025 and I don´t expect ESPN to drop them. I think ESPN will just offer them a lesser deal, given the ratings. And Arum has nowhere to go.

Boot is careless and will pay for it once he fights an elite like Crawford. Even at that, he still take much time and effort to break down opponents

Clearly as in the effort he put in over the course of 12 rounds warranted at least 4 rounds in his favour. Four rounds was the minimum he won. I'm not saying he won 7, 6 or even 5 but he did win 4 and the commentary team were ignoring his good work and glazing Shakur every chance they got in order to create a narrative that we were witnessing a masterclass from Shakur and that AH wasn't doing anything at all.

We're just supposed to go along with the script and ignore all the good shots AH was landing and it works because many fans actually start to believe the propaganda and that AH was shutout or only deserved to win one round.

He takes risks because he can afford it. Not even Villa could hurt him, his inside game is getting better and better tho

Thank goodness that this will be the last Shakur Stevenson main event that is ever promoted.

...what, you guys think any promoter will risk losing their ass on a Shakur fight?

Stevenson has a good managerial team and they will swindle him a good deal. But no one really needs him, besides Arum. And old Bob was happy to let him go.

Hearn might be dumb enough to overpay for him as Hearn needs names in the US market., even if they are boring as ****.

Stevenson in back to back stinker.Coming of a record for the lowest punch in boxing history they gave him a hand picked soft punching journeyman. Even then he couldn’t look good. Pity pat to outpoint a journeyman of this caliber is a reflection on Stevenson. There were rnds where he just didnt do anything. Speed and size at the lower weight was probably enough at the lower weight. Now that he is fighting bigger guys he has look like crap twice.

Nope. This one was actually on Top Rank. Stevenson said that this was the only fight offered to him and I absolutely believe him. Top Rank has done this before too, when fighters are at the end of their contracts.
Arum will gladly sabotage the success of a fight just to give the fighter the middle finger.

I would think that a "three division world champion" with twenty two fights under his belt should have learned that already.

Then again Broner was a "four division world champion" and he never learned it.

i thought keyshawn looked good last night. i was really hoping that maduenos iron jaw and punch resistance along with his relentless pressure would eventually give the businessman some issues but he never encounterd any real problems. i really thought that this fight might have gone the way of angulo/lara where alfredo got the fight down close to a pik em in live betting....but this fight.... not even close.
